Bob Mould and Fred Armisen Open Boxes in the Woods. Filmed: June 2021, Orinda, CA.

Музыка

I’m a longtime fan of Fred’s work, especially the Portlandia series. Fred and I have made music together in the past - with my band, with Ian Rubbish, Late Night with Seth Meyers, and an occasional birthday party. So, it was a thrill for me to “unbox” the various configurations, geek out on the packaging, and share a handful of fun stories.

@@todd1469 A limited edition initial run of Copper Blue CD’s were released in copper metal sleeves with each of the 2,500 copies containing a one-of-a-kind Polaroid photo taken by one of the three band members and stamped on the back with "Sugar Copper Blue Summer '92." I still have the Polaroid from my CD purchase. Unfortunately I sold the disc & case decades ago. Kept the polaroid though.

How about Grohl on drums for a show? He’d have to give the feeling and quiet parts of Anytime Between, Explode and Makeup & The Slim from your Live CDs as well as blasting through the fast ones but talk about an idea!! Looking forward to your solo electric show in Bristol. I am still enjoying exploring your back catalogue of the CDs that I have already bought but the reimagined covers means I will get this in the future despite doubling up on some. Looks lovely.

Man, that is pure gold in those boxes. I bought copper blue and workbook in '92 (same year my daughter was born). Both CDs bring back special memories when I listen to them. Aside from their political views, I have to say I love these two. Both so talented and seem like down to earth guys. I would love to invite them to enjoy some Texas BBQ, Texas beer, and Texas wine at my house in Dallas. It would be an honor... but no talk about politics LMFAO.

I don't understand why Bob won't open the vault even a little bit. (The Workbook demos that are out there are fantastic.)
