Twins are so much easier if you know what you are doing. When I'm docking or trailering I keep the wheel straight and just use the sticks (shifters) to steer the boat.

I think that a twin drive with separate engine controls (forward, reverse, and RPM) is very beneficial to an experienced captain. you have very good control when you can put one engine in forward and one in reverse along with separate RPM controls. BE SAFE

Rewatching this video and noticed on the Mako tuna tower boat that there's no helm down below. I don't think I've ever seen a boat with a helm in the tower that wasn't a 2nd station. Much as I like CCC's idea of getting away from the old lady, I wouldn't think that would be ideal to not have the choice in rough seas. Docking solo and having to jungle gym down to tie up could also be tough in certain situations. I guess it is a 23' with a cuddy cabin and there's not a ton of deck space for a full center console and room astern for fishing and whatnot. Maybe there's a small docking station below one of the gunwales just out of sight.

Much easier with twin engines as you can throttle them independently. However as the weight of the boat goes up the ability to make quick changes goes down. So you've gotta take your time. But all these people lack fundamentals of maneuvering a boat as well as not reading the tide and wind.
