Growing up fishing inshore, offshore in the Gulf of Mexico, creeks, bayous, lakes and more. Throw some seafoam marine in the fuel tank… maybe what yall are seeing is some carbon build up and the seafoan should help clear it out
Every tech is more confident in their tools , than a borrowed or possible questionable brand . After all, they make their living with them . If they begin to suspect the tool is malfunctioning , it gets replaced or relegated to the 'home box' .. maybe loaned out on occasion . The leak-down was a major step , apparantly no major issues detected . It always takes patience to use that 'x-ray vision' along with other indicators to make sure each cylinder is on TDC with all valves closed. Good on the technician . After some Hull safety/ reliability fixes .. Sounds like a " few fuel tank cycles of Seafoam and let it eat" Then on to some fishin !!
Run it and maybe add some sea foam to the oil then drain it and reservice. I’ve seen that stuff work miricals

Hopefully it runs out no problems, but surely you're not going out with that whole side of the hull just flappin? Just fired up the 2016 suzuki 200 the other day, just in case yours sh*ts out. 140 hours. 30 since oil change, new impeller kit, and anodes. 👍

I’m no mechanic. I know enough to either fix it or FUBAR’d. But if you’re getting water in the cylinders, I’m not sure how running it is going to correct the issue. That makes me think of how we used to smack the TV when the signal was fuzzy. Sure it made it work but did we really fix the issue? I hope he’s right and seats those valves and doesn’t leave you stranded. Best of luck bro.

What about the water/moisture on the plugs on the bottom cylinders? I know that plugs will develop moisture from just sitting. Was that a concern?

It didn’t seem to bother the mechanics. They said it could be from old gas or from the boat just sitting…

The side definitely is an easier fix than the motor would've been. I'd probably went with a couple of passes of flex/marine seal
So with no follow up video on the boat motor I have to assume that you bought a dud.
