I may not take my little bass boat into the ocean but on my lake I have to deal with those dang Wave Surfing boats that create 3-4 foot waves. Almost stuffed it once. Now I keep a really wide berth of those evil boats :O
Looks like those motors were trimmed down. You'd think if you lived there you would learn to drive through the waves :)

1.22 You can see the woman holding onto a white poodle like dog. Im pretty sure this would have been a big part of the decision to turn back. Personally, I dont think its a responsible thing to bring a pet unless they have been properly equipped with floatation gear and have a protective shelter to ride in until it is in safe sea conditions. Kudos to Captain Dad and Mom nonetheless for quick thinking and the turn around.

I've been watching them at Haulover since a child.Even then, on the boat, a timer 10 or 20 wondering if I was gonna die LOL
The way those mounts shook is the same way their spines shook.
The COSTA boat had Quad 300 so that’s 1200 HP , NOT 2400 HP

@@bailey9r--- if you watch the video, at one point when they are showing they boat they list it has 4 300HP Engines. Also, those engines are way too small, and the boats too small for Quad 600HP engines, which are massive.
Id consider the first boat demasted!...LOL

Well, my vote is for the tow boat but my way of thinking is if you can't trust the tow boat at that inlet then who can you trust

I'm wondering one thing, does a turn around automatically equal a loss? Cause I don't think a hard landing equals a loss unless you moved the goal posts. That said, stuff-a-lot yacht absolutely took a loss, maybe top 10.
