I’m use it in fresh water only and water marks are terrible, even if we dry it after we remove it from the water. Is there a way you can update us on the products you use. Hey man, really appreciate your videos and I hope you continue to share you knowledge with us! I was wondering if at some point you could do a video explaining how you choose which type of pad to use when starting a job. The different between using a foam pad and a microfiber pad with the Jescar or with the menzerna products. Again thanks for all the helpful videos!

    Thank you for the video idea! Those are really good questions! I’ll Try to get something up for you! For now, I only use the micro fiber pad when there is no oxidation on the surface and I just want to apply wax or jescar sealant! I’ll use the grey or orange lake country force foam pad with wax or jescar sealant when I need todo a light amount of cutting to work the product in if the surface has light oxidation. I personally never really use micro fiber pads for correcting, never really liked how they work on my flex. The orange and grey force pads from lake country are great for removing light oxidation, and removing swirls marks!

    Hey bro, I'm brand new to this world of detailing I've been watching your videos all morning. Now if I can pick your brain. Long story short using jescar didn't take oxidation off. I have a da and various pads. What's my quickest route to oxidation removal before jes ar will work. I know that's a tough one each case is specific but what would you suggest?

  • @DrakesDetailing

    @DrakesDetailing

    Ай бұрын

    Hey bro! Jescar won’t take oxidation off. If you’re looking for something quick, I would try chop top compound by shine supply with a yellow pad, then follow up with a dual action polisher with wake up, polished by shine supply, then Jescar powerlock.

Can totally understand and relate to your ways I find that your thinking is identical to mine it's good to see someone u can relate orknow what he's saying in the world of Auto and Marine Detailing

    I have Tried 3m and it is pretty good! There are a lot of good compounds and polishes out there! A lot of the time it comes down to personal preference and depending on what products you are comfortable with and know how to use. A lot of products break down differently and cut differently so It comes down to knowing how to use certain products and also what you’re comfortable with. I typically stick with Ardex products and menzerna products only because I have used them for years and I know how to work them very very well. Not saying that they are the best product out there but I know how to use them and I know what to expect and the results I get are always consistent because I know how to work the products.

    I just bought a Shurhold pro oscillating buffer. Super heavy. Also, I have a hard time finding wool polishing pads. Would you do a video on polishing pads? I’m new to the business, and used wool on my own boat: 3M cutting pad and polishing pad. Shurhold sells mainly sponge pads that are expensive and don’t work as well as my wool pads. The pads for the pro buffer are all sponge. Not sure why. What are your thoughts on which pads work best for which application?

    Nah, I never clay boats... I always recommend a light polish before coating, even if it’s brand new! Use like menzerna 2500 on a white lake country force pad. After you polish it, wash with dawn , dry it, alcohol wipe it, then coat it.

    Deep rust marks usually have to be wet sanded out or compounded with a wool pad. I usually like to just hit it with 2000 grit sand paper and polish it back out. As for tight spots, use the flex pxe80 with 1 inch pads, or by hand.
