I don't understand some of the hate Bo Nix gets? People are saying that his success is because of Oregon's receivers. When LSU's Daniels gets praised and he has 2 NFL first rd receivers with one of being Nabers who was ALWAYS open because he was literally unguardable. To me Bo Nix looks like a athletic Drew Brees!

He reminds me a lot of Derrick Carr. Too good to sit, but not good enough to be elite. :\ For the record, I hope I'm wrong. I'm rooting for him.

I think if I had to comp him, he's the Mac Jones or Baker Mayfield of the draft. A better comp might be another overall #1 in Alex Smith, even though no one should be taking him number 1 overall. Kirk Cousins also makes some sense as a comp. But Nix has a high enough floor where he'll be good enough to start, and if the talent around him is good enough maybe he'll even be a top half of the league starter. But there's not enough juice to be elite.

I think whatever team signs Kirk should draft Bo. I feel like they’re very similar and Bo can learn a lot.

As an Oregon fan, your analysis is pretty much exactly in line with mine. He has a lot of upside but he needs to go to a team with at least some decent talent. That being said, I think if he can fix his deep ball accuracy, he absolutely can be a top 10 to even top 5 QB. I think his dream would be going to the Steelers or Broncos, a team with overall good talent who are really just a QB away, who just need somebody to avoid pressure, read coverage well, and give it to their playmakers. I can see him being Alex Smith, but without the first few awful years with the 9ers, which I think in this modern NFL almost any team would take.

I think he’s a better fit with the raiders. The team has talent on both sides of the ball, a top 12-10 o-line and a genius defensive coordinator in Patrick Graham

I love Bo Nix!! But my major concerns of his for me is his arm strength and he seems to avoid the big plays. That may have been his OC though. But he’s gonna need to just take the deep shot if he’s gonna be successful

@@analyticalinsight when you watch him throw the deep ball versus other quarterbacks, he uses a lot more energy and full body motion to make the throw. Compared to somebody like Penix who barely moves and can throw a 50 yard pass with ease. If it’s not his arm strength, it’s his footwork or mechanics. He doesn’t always seem comfortable throwing. He throws off awkward positions which affects his ability to complete distance passes

He reminds me of Sam Howell, or a Manchu, or Kenny Pickett. He’ll be at best a backup QB in the long run

There are too many teams without anywhere near competent QB play in the NFL this year. He will go round one and likely won't fall past the Bronco's and Vikings at #12 & 14.

I think how he performs in off-season activities like pro day, senior bowl, combine, will completely change his stock. I can see him performing well in those events and having his draft stock increase. As a Bronco's fan, I think there's a good chance he goes at 12 to pair up with Sean Payton (really solid fit) . I do wonder if Denver risks trading back a few spots, then can still land him.

I’ve had Broncos landing Penix for the last month or so (ever since Wilson got benched), but Bo Nix is also a solid option at QB! Would just prefer it to be Penix. Great choice of team by the way 😁

I think McCarthy is the better prospect and is a fringe 1st rd pick. The way I look at is JJ is a better athlete, has a better arm, throws a better deep ball and is younger with more upside. Nix is very accurate, process things well, and is very experienced. I just think the things JJ needs to work on are going to be easier to fix than what Nix needs to improve on and just being more athletic with a big arm makes McCarthy a better overall prospect.

I'm not perfect, I don't know it all. I don't hate Bo Nix, I just see some serious questions/issues in his game. On min 8:00, you show a postive play where Nix stays with his first read a TE, but throws it into almost triple coverage. But it looked like he had a wr coming coming open in the end zone, why throw it to where all of the coverage is!?! I've seen a few other plays like this. Having a long ball that is sometime shorted or wr sometimes has to adjust greatly too, or forcing it to 1 reads or constantly dumping off your rbs? I worry that all of that won't lead to successful play in the nfl.

Could be Drew Brees Light and Baker Mayfield Heavy with Russell Wilson sprinkled on top.

You show a 40 yard pass, where he was off platform and throwing cross body, and comment the receiver had to make a slight adjustment because the ball was little under thrown, give a break Bo found the open receiver and throw and safe pass and completed it. I don't think many NFL starting QB would be able to make that play.

Denver should definitely draft nix at 12 and build a soild o line n run game

He needs to go to a team that already has good players around him to succeed. His best case scenario is to whined up on the falcons.

I have a feeling MY team will end up drafting this kid. For better or worse.

The giants will move back up in the 1st round and draft him. He will be a giant.

I think after teams talk to Nix his draft stock is going to drop. He doesn't have a high football IQ which is odd because his father is a really good coach. Pocket presence and ball placement are two of his most improved traits. At Auburn he would run into pressure a lot and he would throw his receivers into the defender a lot. Another thing against NIx was he was not liked by most of his teammates at Auburn and he had a tendencies to point fingers. However, at Oregon I never saw this issue. I think from an ability stand point Nix has what it takes to be an NFL QB, but I have serious concerns about the mental part of the game. On a different note: you do a great job with you videos and analyst keep them coming.

His football IQ is just fine lol. 45 tds 3 picks, best completion percentage for a season all point to high football IQ.

@@jirikurto3859 College stats really don't mean a lot. How good are some of the defenses and how complex are they? Look at Mac Jones last year at Alabama 77,4 % completions 4500 yards 41 TDs and 4 INTs. The numbers are almost identical and Jones faced better competition. The stats don't translate to the NFL.

The thing with that is will he be able to adjust to air raid offenses that limit RPOs and screens? He seems a bit scheme specific but I can’t determine that off how Oregon used him. Just a minor concern.

I'm also a Denver Broncos fan, and while I think there are better options than Nix, I'm not opposed to that selection at 12! I like Penix more than Nix but I'll accept that Nix will go higher. Nix is QB6, #31 on my big board.
