I applied for 3 jobs inside BNSF. Even had a referral that's been in maintenance of way for over 2 years. January 20th I applied. Took the assessment test that they email me right after that. Passed that. It's been over a month since I've last gotten anything from them. I know its the winter season. Signal apprenticeship, track laborer and conductor trainee are the positions I signed up for. Also allied through UP as well.

I applied and started the process in late January, too(train conductor). I had an interview late February, the longest part for me was the health section of things. I'm a bigger guy and when they do the sleep test, an then find out you have mild sleep apnea. That'll add about a month or two before starting the job. They had me talk to my doctor who then had me do a 2 week sleep study, and then wait again for results. In the long run, I start on Monday June 19th up here in Montana. It took me about 6 months to land the job and as long as you keep that in mind it's just a bunch of "hurry up and waiting." Now I'm just worried about getting furloughed right after training lol.

I didn't make the cut. Job was only 20 to 30 minutes away. I don't have any experience. Maybe they're looking for some schooling/ training in background. I applied to UP, and recently CSX. All turned down after the interviews. I have no luck with interviews. They were all video interviews.
