BN HO Scale Model Railroad Layout Train Journey
Ғылым және технология
Watch a heavy manifest make its way through towns and mountains on Tim Dickinson's amazing HO Scale Burlington Northern model railroad. Based in 1976, the layout features (scale) miles of track, a fully functioning CTC system with working signals, and hundreds of freight cars and locomotives, each weathered and detailed for the era.
Sit back, relax, and enjoy the journey on this spectacular layout.

The mixed use of bridge types and rock formations make this very real as it feels like the train is really traveling across the country.
Not only is the layout first class but the video is as well. Would love to see the track plan.
I like the way you rolled car into the grade shot. it gave it a little realism.
Great layout of one of my most favorite railroads. I’m an N scaler, my model railroad is the Pacific West Coast model railroad. My railroad will cover & focus on the entire West Coast from Tijuana,Baja California Norte to Vancouver, British Columbia,Canada & it will cover the last 25 years of the 20th. Century from August 22, 1974 when I arrived in San Diego for duty aboard my second ship in the Navy and all the way to the end of 1999.
Awesome layout. It has some great details, great variety of motive power(covered wagons!), New York Central rolling stock, the Penn Central trailers on the flatcars, a Volkswagen Beetle with a split rear window. BN 1976 is a beautiful unit. Great stuff!
Finally another video, been waiting a long time for this...
This layout is amazing.
Definitely one of the best layouts I've ever seen. Good shooting, too.
I find it hard to believe that there are people that thumb this wonderful video down.
Great layout and model work by Tim Dickinson but even BETTER videography and editing by Craig-M and crew! Shout out to Mr. DeeDubya Federiconi!
OMG, this is as real as it gets. I feel as if I was standing beside the tracks watching the action, this is one awesome layout!
So very realistic & great detail.
this is definitely a layout that you can visit numerous times, look at the same spot in the layout numerous times, and still see details you missed the first time! very nice!
VERY nice, looks almost real!! 👍🏻
That is one nice layout! The gates really surprised me when the gate itself had the marker lights on it. You dont see that to often as far as ive seen! Really impressive!
Hats off 2 U gentalmen, layout created 'n' 1976, Simply beautiful, God bless u............
One of the best HO sets I've ever seen
Nice railroad layout and train!

Mike Fifer it's a layout? Really?
Exc modeling, particularly the track work and track-side.features. "Low" camera perspective lends a lot of credibility, especially without the shaky lens, super-speed pans, and back ground babble we get from most offerings. . Terrific examples all around.
Great stuff!
This railroad is astonishing. The videography is just terrific. I mean, it looked so real! Automobiles coming to a stop as the trains moved through. That was very cool. But, as a newbie looking for ideas, I wish there had been an overview of the layout. Something to let a rookie see the scope of the layout. I really have no idea what this layout looks like. A few more minutes at the beginning or the end showing the layout at a distance letting us see it would have been wonderful.
wracają wspomnienia gdy byłem u swojej babci wchodziłem na balkon i patrzyłem na pociągi naprawdę to robi wrażenie
Very breathtaking layout! We are a new club that are in the process of constructing our first model farm and model train layout. We love watching train videos on here. Please keep posting more videos. Thanks so much for posting it.
Some very nice details with shots of track signals, drainage over passes etc . Thanks for sharing.
This doesnt look like a model railroad.. It looks like a real railroad. Excellent Job on this.
Damn! I could watch this all day!
nice detail with the grass
I would LOVE to get back into this hobby. Needless to say, the detail work is absolutely amazing on this particular layout. The bicentennial must be a rare model to acquire, and to see it heading two units in the standard green livery was a great touch. Nice video.
Great video of an outstanding layout. Thanks for sharing. I am looking forward to seeing another video.
Incredible shoots, so many of them !! A masterpiece from 3.24 to 3.39 that impressed me the most.
Thank you!! I hope we do this again soon!! I love this!!
This is absolutely cool!
This layout is amazing! Probably the best I've ever seen.

One of, if not the nicest layout I've ever seen. Exceptional camera work as well. Who in their right mind would give this video a thumbs down?
I am at a loss for words and that doesn't ever happen.
Thumbs up to this!!! Great stuff!!!
Amazing!
Beautiful layout and excellent camera work.
Very cool. I love it. Great detail.
Very good job on this layout. I especially like the crossing gates, they move at a realistic speed and the flash pattern is spot on. Keep up the good work and always have fun doing it.
Fantastic layout Tim. I can really appreciate all the wayside and subtle scenery details.
GREAT Video! Thank you for the hard work to make us aspire to create and remember these wonderful railroads.
Beautiful!

Very nice layout my compliments sir and thank you for sharing
Great model railroad! Excellent detail. Im suprised about how few BN model railroads I see on KZread. There should be more. Again great job. Thanks for this video.
I have watched your video many times. Love your layout!
Very nice layout and operation. I grew up living next to the mainline BN track in Prairie du Chien WI. Between Mini/St. Paul & Chicago. Watched a lot of real cool stuff roll thru from the mid 70's to late 80's!
I really love this layout. Good work!

Skip Hedgepath I like your video, especially the tips in the second half for ho scale railroads. Something I also found useful for ho scale railroads was Corbandy HO Scale Crusher - find it on google if you like
this is very impressive work
Very Realistic!! :)
Super!
So cool
Superb layout! And the effect of the auto pulling up to the grade crossing at 7:20 is really nice. So often, vehicles are just totally static from one scene to another. Good job!
7:11 "TORNADO! **EEYAAAAGHH**--no, wait...never mind." Seriously, though--what a brilliant work of art! With all of the incredibly minute details, that layout is nothing less than a masterpiece.
I've always found it quite odd how so many model railroaders work so hard on their layouts when it comes to all the fine realistic detailing that they do, yet very few hardly ever string the utility poles which I've found rather easy to do. I think the utility poles being wired adds so much more reality to the layouts and yet so few actually complete that part of the detailing??? This is a wonderfully detailed layout and the operation is very realistic. Thanks for sharing.
Nice level of detail.
Who are the fools with the thumbs down. I bet they are greenies and think the railroad will disturb the slumber of the "Great Horned Owl".

VERY nice landscape. I'm impressed. Very realistic. En very well filmed, too. TOP JOB !! Great video and great track.
impressive
I love it
Well I might as well quit working on my layout ,you did everything I would have done (perfect)
A very fine Video Production! Presentation of model trains, speed, background, eye interest, ( appeal ) and sound were beautifully coordinated. This model of video performance should receive an award, and some day, KZread may consider establishing awards for really quality workmanship in many categories.
I like the up loco
Very realistic :)
What a fantastic layout. You have a wonderful eye for detail. Thank you for the tour.
