BN HO Scale Model Railroad Layout Train Journey

Ғылым және технология

Watch a heavy manifest make its way through towns and mountains on Tim Dickinson's amazing HO Scale Burlington Northern model railroad. Based in 1976, the layout features (scale) miles of track, a fully functioning CTC system with working signals, and hundreds of freight cars and locomotives, each weathered and detailed for the era.
Sit back, relax, and enjoy the journey on this spectacular layout.

The mixed use of bridge types and rock formations make this very real as it feels like the train is really traveling across the country.

Great layout of one of my most favorite railroads. I’m an N scaler, my model railroad is the Pacific West Coast model railroad. My railroad will cover & focus on the entire West Coast from Tijuana,Baja California Norte to Vancouver, British Columbia,Canada & it will cover the last 25 years of the 20th. Century from August 22, 1974 when I arrived in San Diego for duty aboard my second ship in the Navy and all the way to the end of 1999.

Awesome layout. It has some great details, great variety of motive power(covered wagons!), New York Central rolling stock, the Penn Central trailers on the flatcars, a Volkswagen Beetle with a split rear window. BN 1976 is a beautiful unit. Great stuff!

Exc modeling, particularly the track work and track-side.features. "Low" camera perspective lends a lot of credibility, especially without the shaky lens, super-speed pans, and back ground babble we get from most offerings. . Terrific examples all around.

This railroad is astonishing. The videography is just terrific. I mean, it looked so real! Automobiles coming to a stop as the trains moved through. That was very cool. But, as a newbie looking for ideas, I wish there had been an overview of the layout. Something to let a rookie see the scope of the layout. I really have no idea what this layout looks like. A few more minutes at the beginning or the end showing the layout at a distance letting us see it would have been wonderful.

I've always found it quite odd how so many model railroaders work so hard on their layouts when it comes to all the fine realistic detailing that they do, yet very few hardly ever string the utility poles which I've found rather easy to do. I think the utility poles being wired adds so much more reality to the layouts and yet so few actually complete that part of the detailing??? This is a wonderfully detailed layout and the operation is very realistic. Thanks for sharing.
