BMW's recent concept cars have been extreme, eliciting strong reactions from anyone who saw them. But that is pretty much the point of concept cars. Through its history BMW has made some incredible concept machines, all eliciting those kinds of reactions. Some have showcased new BMW design, some new concepts for cars, and some have just been downright weird.
These are our favourites. From the car that foreshadowed the 8 Series and M1 to the first car with radar guiding braking systems.

Idk who did y'all's research for this video but GM was making turbo cars way back in the 60's bmw 2002 was not the first

Yes the Homage R should have been made.
Some really gorgeous concept cars in here, especially that E25 and CSL Hommage. The GINA is really unsettling though lol.
That E25 should have been built for production. For a concept car it looked usable as well as stunning.
The Z1 coupe looks like an American with a mullet pretending to be European.
BMW couldn't do much wrong if it actually made a production version of the BMW E25 Turbo right now!
THE MILLE MIGLIA IS ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!
As someone who's favorite period of automotive design aesthetic (for whatever ungodly reason) runs from the early 1970s to the early 1990s, I can genuinely say that I've never, in my life, wanted a concept car more than the E25 Turbo. I absolutely LOVE all the bleeding edge tech that car companies tried to shove into the cars of the era. (Even though none of it works anymore) The cockpit of the E25 is an amazing example of just that, especially all the instrumentation.
I so wish BMW made the GINA and the 2015 Hommage. Absolute stunners!
Nazca still to this date makes my jaw-drop.

What landing on the moon?
The Z1 Coupe Concept looks very like the Z3 Coupe. From the front, the Nazca C2 looks like a McLaren F1 Roadcar.
Legit shame that BMW saw the Nazca and said, "nah"...
I had nightmares about the Z22 😖
5:02 no break callipers just like Jesse's car from the fast and the furious...
I believe the Gina was pronounced with the long i.
The E25 is the GOAT.
"Homage's" overall shape looks familiar, as if it's been imitated,don't it?
They ignored the Nazca M12 and then made the horrible garbage that was Chris Bangle's cars. I hate BMW for that.
It’s funny that the Z21 looks like a concept of the Ariel Atom.

The only one for me was the predecessor of the BMW M1, were as everything Inc the tupperware convertible in the paper shredder. If had brought any of them it would be the one I chose oh and 2002 turbo.
Shame more of these don’t make production
At 4:11 - "If you've ever wondered why the Z1 has such weird doors..." and then the video never says why ! As I remember hearing it, it was inspired by the designer's uncle's Lotus / Caterham 7 and his ability to stub out a cigarette on the road at traffic lights.

Weird that everyone bought into the marketing of kidney grill. They look like nostrils. The M line are like the nostrils of a pig. There you go. You'll never not see nostrils again when looking at every single beamer.

Agreed. Air-intakes/nostrils, never have looked like kidneys however much they insist.
BMW needs a superar urgently... Mercedes has the AMG Audi has the R8 BMW has an i8? Please...
