Today I install Rogue Engineering's solid rubber mounts for almost every BMW model. This is a great way to stiffen up the transmission for more direct and accurate shifts without adding lots of NVH (noise vibration and harshness). I tried 80A poly mounts and while they were solid and felt good on canyon roads, it was unbearable to deal with in traffic or driving normally. I think my lightweight flywheel made this worse. With the RE mounts, not only do I have pretty much the same great shifter feeling, but I have no additional NVH. If I didn't leave my GoPro in my apartment at school, I would've taken a video of shifting but oh well, this is a great upgrade for every BMW, especially those with a manual transmission where you can actually appreciate the difference! I'd put these mounts on a daily driver too. For only around $65, this is a great way to drastically improve the driving experience of your BMW.
