BMW Radiator Hose Fix

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Upper radiator hose replacement for BMW. Bmw 328i N52 radiator hose leak fix. These hoses like to crack and break over time, not so much the rubber but the low quality plastic itself. I'd recommend everyone to replace the entire cooling system by 100k.

The hose IS NOT seated to the radiator. You never connect a BMW hose with the clamp up. They are snap lock hoses. You push them on with the metal clamp closed then when you hear two snaps you know they are seated correctly and won't blow off.

Great video. Just had my line fail on me the other day. Pain in the ass to deal with. I went to install the line and noticed my coolant hose was done for. Lol You’re right, it’s smart to replace all parts at once: lines, hoses, and radiator. Saves the headache of shipping separately. As I’m waiting for my parts to come in 😣

That sucks I’ve never seen one blow, they usually leak before they fail. Hopefully the engine is good after that and didn’t get too hot. Upper hoses seem to fail a lot more often than lower ones

Nice video. I'm just about to replace mine. Two things, do you need a new hose O ring for the hose, or do they come with them? Also, how comes you don't use the bleed screw next cap when bleeding? Thanks

The hose will come with the o rings unless you’re very unlucky but always good to have a check. Regarding the bleed screw the reason I don’t use it is because it tends to spill coolant down the side of the reservoir

Nothing other than a couple flathead screwdrivers as prybars and a couple water bottles you can cut up to let the coolant slowly drain into. You’ll need a worm clamp for the coolant overflow hose if yours is weeping a bit. Make sure to lube up the o rings on the new hose with new coolant before installing
