Thanks for the insight into the inner workings of the mirror housing and the disassembly of the motor drive. I have the error code D90D0D and I assume a cable break. That's why the video is a good help. Thank you for sharing. Valentina & Patrik from Germany

How did you mount the motor back on the bracket ? You need to put the spring back under tension. Same way with a screwdriver ?

I've figured it out; it just put it back and if you twist it with a little pressure is slides back in.

When you pryed open the motor casing ... it looked like they were glued together. Do you use glue to fix back the casing?

No glue....the mirror case is held together with clips that snap in place

The casing for the motor has to be pried because it s glued together, this will allow the gears to be replaced. Other option is to replace the motor assembly alone

You will hear the motor but the mirror doesn't move, the gear is broken.

You spin it anticlockwise, or you can pry it from underneath the plastic using a long screw driver to access where it would be.

just had a car accident in my f20. left passenger side mirror completely broken.. my window module stopped working.. is it because of the side mirror?

Yes, there is a module behind the mirror cap. If that is faulty ur master window switch stops working
