I just bought a fully loaded used 2015 jeep grand cherokee summit diesel. When I push the mirror fold button they fold inwards like normal but then when I push the button again for them to unfold the passenger mirror works properly but the drivers side mirror keeps going until it folds all the way forward. Any idea what could be happening?

Hey, is the metal suppose to spin as well? The metal strout of my car is stuck as hell...

Your motor may be locked up.

Did it work and how did you get the motor case apart?

Everything was held in by screws and friction. A little prying and everything came apart if it didn't just fall out. It absolutely worked, it's worked ever since and I do a lot of miles on it.

This just happened to my 2017 Hyundai Azera. I can hear the motor running but there’s grinding noise and it doesn’t move. I wish it got stock downwards instead of upwards lmao

How did you get the smaller motor assembly apart? I know its been a while, but anything you can share about about you remember or have taken video would be great!

15 Ford Fusion SE passenger side mirror functions of both the movement and turn signal aren’t working. What could cause both problems? Just replace the whole mirror? It’s not likely the fuse ? because it controls both sides and my driver side is working. It’s not likely control switch because it again controls both sides? Not the motor by itself because also the turn signal isn’t working ? I’ve not pried the door panel off and taken a look for obvious damage.. just looks like no power getting to mirror or bad mirror? Thanks for any advice

I closed and opened my power folding mirrors and now they are weak! Could it be the motor? Any thoughts?

@@McMedics 1 of my mirror motor is also weak (you can hear the motor being weak and slow, trying to open/close slowly and not fully unless I help it). I've removed the mirror housing, the motor connector but can't figure out how to remove the plastic cover over it, without breaking everything. Any tips?

The motor assembly comes apart from the other part with 3 screws I think it was. Then the motor itself isn't supposed to be opened in it's case but you can get it open if you do it just right.

What type of glue did you use to put the gear together? Did it last?

Run of the mill super glue, still flawless to this day nearly 2 years later.

My mirrors sometimes fold and other times don't fold . First specially when i went to car washing . It returns to fold . After a while don't . I don't know what is the cause and how to fix it . Specially now it is completely stopped to fold even when i was notcing it was folding after car wash . Something related to strong water of car washers . What could i do about it if there is somthinh to do please?

Used krazy glue, do not used gorilla or locktite.
