Hey there, I'm considering getting a 328i and had a few questions. Firstly, how would you describe the driving experience? Secondly, I'm interested in the cost of ownership - what are the typical maintenance and repair expenses each year? And how much does it cost to insure? As a first-time car owner, I'm not sure what to expect. Lastly, do you think the 328i would be a good first car for a high school student? And are there any specific pros and cons that I should be aware of? Thank you for your help!

@@asad-bk4ufI can tell you this bro, I’ve owned 3 E90 328’s currently driving one today. Best fucking bmw I ever owned never left me stranded anywhere (can’t say the same for my 2012 750I)true nightmare on wheels. As for driving. It’s like a knife on butter. maintenance always get the oil changed on time please and make sure brakes and suspension is always good. It’s a bmw might cost a little pocket change but it won’t be obnoxiously taking your money as long as you really treat the car good seriously. Wow this is such a timely video. I’ve literally been trying to figure out if I should get rid of my 2009 528i with almost 250k miles and replace it with one of the newer cars with the B58 engine. Think I’m going to keep my E60 and just overhaul the engine. This thing has been such a tank and is still driving without fault. I just thought that it wasn’t worth investing money into a car with that many miles on it.

Hi Dean just wantend to tell you you are the reason I bought an N52 in the E90 andt it's been great! I was wondering if you could make a video about a strange issue I've been having The car runs superb for the first 5-8 miles when it's cold, after it warms up, there is hesitation and a definite loss of power 2800-4500 rpm. Since i bought it at 150k miles ive done new spark plugs, gaskets, new disas (febi) and vanos solenoids (pierburg) For codes, i have catalytic converter below threshold, both banks, 29F4 and 29F5. They keep returning..

I know some day the tranny will be toast but the engine is still running strong. As now of now using 5w30 engine sounds better and less strain thinking to go 0w30 would be better for engine strain ? Please advise me ,many thanks .

Then it levels off at the high idle as it should till it warms up. I notice that at cold start, if i just blip the throttle, it immediate goes to its normal high idle as it should till it warms up. Otherwise car drives fine. With no codes. Any ideas?

Car runs bang on but I will be pressing it into service as a motorway runner in a few months and hope to run it for perhaps another 18 months/ 40k ( ie to 180,000 miles total by then). Its quite low revving at motorway speeds and the mpg will be acceptable. Should I have all the prevention things done you mentioned ?? Maybe a "super service" . Just after opinion, thanks

I've found valvetronic motor seals fail more than the actual cam cover gasket, the oil runs down and looks like it's the cam cover, clean throughly 1st and change just the motor seal before you go changing the cam cover gasket. If the leak comes back then change the cam cover gasket.

I need your help badly brother. My 2007 x5 overheated so much oil started dripping what I thought was the valve cover right under the valvetronic motor dripping onto the exhaust headers. I don’t see it leaking from the valve cover. I cannot see where it’s coming from there’s no room. There is oil inside the radiator fluid reservoir but the oil cooler unit is not leaking oil anywhere. It is totally dry around the oil filter. It’s only dripping right above the exhaust headers right below the valve cover so I don’t know if somethings cracked or if there is another gasket in that area that I don’t know about. Can you give me an idea of what the oil could be coming out of Oil is all inside the radiator fluid but the car still runs it just smokes. It does not seem like it has a loss of power actually almost seems a little faster it’s acting strange. My idol has been jumping up and down up and down since I put a cold air intake but I removed it and put a man filter. 0EM but it’s still jumps up and down I think maybe that it was not properly sealed when I put the cold air intake and dirt got in and ruined the throttle body or made it dirty anyway, I really need to find out where the oil is leaking from to fix it as soon as possible

Hi bud. I owned couple of Bmw's. In general. ,they are good cars ,with good engines ,the problem are the other components that fail ,like modules and plastic components from the engine bay that leave you stranded on the motorway 🛣 🙄 Driving dynamics is brilliant no doubt about that but ,in general reliability is not it's key thing on bmw's unfortunately. I mean ,it's a perfect car for a guy like you ,that loves fixing them every day and having no problem doing that but , for a normal guy like me ,that just wants a car to start every day and go to work ,😅 didn't really work unfortunately 😁 Great content 👌 👏 👍 😌

Agreed, well if you mean hoses and the cooling system at least. They will probably fail in later age and will leave you by the roadside. I wouldn't run a 15 year old BMW without breakdown cover for recovery to a garage for this reason. If you can accept that, you have got a brilliant car that is a better drive than even the top of the range cars out these days
