I drive my E60 M5 in the winter sometimes. Winter tires are the key.

I drive an quattro and need winter tires its al about the tire but on rwd cars there is not enough weight to do like fwd or awd cars

Snow tires plus a bag or two of salt in the trunk would help. Or a speaker box even.

where we live we have snow maybe once in every three years and it doesn't stay for more than a week, mostly three days or even less. so buying snow tires is pointless especially when we have four wheel drive cars and use them for times like this. we just had some fun and needed to rearange cars.
