Thanks for the tip. Did this on mine this weekend and works perfectly. I would suggest using something a bit more permanent like solder rather than twist and heat wrap.

Good to hear man! Yeah I could have done it a bit more professional, I could have also used one of those splicers.

Hello. What a good solution. The black cable exactly to which pin did you hook it into the connector? In the image it is not appreciated. Thanks crack

Got my M2 today and it's amazing! I definitely want to do this to mine as I've only had it a day and having to press that red button in the trunk/boot everytime will get annoying quickly. Do you have any idea where I can buy another connector cable (the red & black connection)? So I can keep one stock just in case I need to swap it back again.

Congrats man, enjoy it! I don’t know where you can buy this set of cable, however, you can use one of these things instead to keep it at as original as possible: www.partex-direct.co.uk/image/cache/data/qs2-500x500.jpg To reactivate it you would then only need to reconnect the wires again! Hope this helps

Open the flaps then disconnect the harness from control module and that will keep flaps open all the time.

Question! I just got a 2018 M2 with MPE, it didn’t come with the valves controller and it also doesn’t have the red bottom, how can I open the valves?

  • @TheHunterHofman

That’s weird. I know there is a way of unplugging the module while the car is turned on, that would open the valves and keep them open, but I’m not sure…

Yes, open up the valves and then power off the module. This way they’ll always be open

I've heard if you press the button once after pressing it twice, it preserves battery life, have you heard the same?
