i used a 328 crank and rods with 325 pistons and block. it makes the compression ratio go up to 11.25, and the 328 crank is also forged.

@nigelfoley1985 the throttle body was the same. it drove fine with the stock ecu, but after i put the chip and knn air filter, i notice a big difference. i want to go to the dyno in the coming month, so stay tuned.

@bimmerbum1 im using a 2.8 crank. my displacement should b closer to 2.8 - 2.9. im running 91 octane, witch is the highest i can get in Ca, for pump gas. i will try to get a dyno run here shortly. :)

I did the same but with m51b25 crank in non vanos block...a stage one tune and s50b30 euro exhaust manifold and injectors running on 3.0 bar with 3.64 diff and 6speeds gearbox Its very fun to drive have never been on dyno but i guess its arround 200hp

and @TheBimmerfan you guys might be confusing the whole engine for just the m50 intake manifold. It's a very popular m52 mod to put them on the m52 header/block, provides much better airflow but what do I know, you could be correct as well.

the head has double valve spring with m3 cams, but if your gonna do my set up it wont be good for boost because of the high compression. and you switch to manual!

Have you read what I wrote? I said nothing about M50 manifold because I know that M50 manifold can be swaped on a M52 engine. I said that oil cup is at the back side of the engine, where the M50's is and the oil filter housing is a m50's one.

Just got a '94 4door 325i thats beat up, looking to rebuild/stroke the motor, possibly delete VANOS and go megasquirt, and turbo it (diy build). so this is just a 325 block/pistons with a 328 crank? what about the head? i also have an auto, not sure if i should replace the auto with a rebuilt one, or swap to a manual. Most of my experience is with mustangs, so this BMW stuff is new to me as i dont know the limitations.

Hi guys i need help,i just bought engine m52 for my e30.But the engine can crank but there didnt have injector pulse.There have postive currento but didnt have negative current pulse same goes coil plug also.I already changed crank sensor.Hope u guy help me thanks.God bless you

Where i live in Lebanon the lowest octane rating is 95 and highest is 98 it goes for 2.5$ a gallon which is pretty cheap for that rating.

Im in Beirut Lebanon its in the middle east my friend. I have an m50b28 its boosted i run 98 octane and never had a problem with detonation.

Nicee u gotta get a thick ass head gasket i know a guys that got mine from Sweden. They run wepl over 700hp on a stock bottom end over there and they are very reliable.

m50 can have a vanos hump too.. what tells u this is most likely m52 is the plastic valve cover
