I have replaced spark plugs , injectors . PCV & hoses , throttle body replaced , maps sensor & throttle body .. now they say intake manifold has melted popped holes . Part no ending in : 555666

I have same issue code 11A002

I get a malfunction message on my F30 diesel on shutdown. New battery buy it also has the Bmw recall waiting for parts from Europe

The VANOS solenoids will cause all of that. I just replaced one in bank 1 that was stuck. That can be caused by very dirty oil. Once I replaced it, ALL problems went away. The VANOS solenoids can cause a chain reaction. They are located right behind the turbo coolers.

My 2018 BMW 430I XDRIVE get this DRIVETRAIN MALFUNCTION, it will not start or turn over? I think it is the battery or starter. No I don't have a scan tool and the car is stuck at my work parking lot for now. Why not starting? Please help

Francisco, thank you for the great content on BMW N63's...I have been trying to find a video on the code I am getting on my 2013 550i...after getting Drivetrain Malfunctions lately I checked with my scan tool and the codes I keep getting are: "Vanos, Inlet 2: Control fault, position not reached" and "A Camshaft Position - Timing over-retarded"....both are for bank 2...I thought it might be bad Vanos Solenoids, but am worried it's something more serious. Any ideas or a video I could check out where you encountered these specific codes?

Hey, I got this drivetrain malfunction message from my F10 yesterday. Car won’t go into second gear, when I put it in reverse won’t move. Started it today the message is gone but when I put it in D there’s a major jerk. Any idea what the problem could be?

Same on my 2013 328i. Had to tow it from new Mexico to Houston and now drive train is on and won't shift into gears smh.

Fuel pump or fuel filter is the most common do not let him lead you down a rabbit hole.So I just got my BMW back and she runs awesome.My mechanic showed me the old fuel pump and on the side of the pump is a filter bag.My filter bag was completed clogged and very dirty.I thought there was a fuel filter you could buy separately but there is not.A new fuel pump was around 500 bucks so I found a low mile 750 at junkyard and purchased pump for 80 bucks.Hope I helped anyone.

Hi Mike, mine give a drivetrain message, on other days when i add a bit of fuel it becomes ok. Even though i have fuel in the vehicle it requires me to add a bit of fuel to drive further. What might be the problem?

2011 550i, engine codes 118702, 118602, 128301, 128401. any thoughts on this?

Currently going through this process right now I do have an auto scanner multiple miss on the cylinders

i have a bmw 535i and it had this drivetraim problem i took it to a specialized store we changed the spark plugs and other things it cost me 2300 dollars with that the car started to fail which did not happen before when i accelerate the car is failing a lot ... so i came back at the store and they told me it could be the computer.. what do you think?

I've changed all sparkplugs and coils, and 2 injectors, after some time thats when the missfires started with the codes I've mentioned

my 2010 says the same thing. We’ve changed spark plugs and computer and still the same. Can this issue be fixed or is it not possible ? Thank you!

I never had an engine light come on... just the Drivetrain Malfunction. I was low on Coolant and after I filled it the light went off, but several days later the same thing but the car stopped all together. Took it to the shop and they said I needed a new engine. I had my car towed away and started researching to see if that's the case. Doesn't seem like it.

@@choclateladyroberson79 I decided to take mine to the nearest BMW for them to fix it. (Not under Warranty) Mine is a 2015 550i and it had issues and a recall that the previous owner ignored so it should be given a new engine from the opinions I received. So it's sitting in a sea of BMWs awaiting whatever they decide to do. I ran into another BMW owner that has similar issues and his was fixed as well.

It can be anything from a thermostat or spark plug. Always get your car scanned

I got the answer it was a watsegate issue replaced it and now it's good.
