Haven’t looked at the next video yet.. I’m assuming that the relucter ring was deformed/corroded. Got some really great tips and help from your channel. Thank you for sharing your experience with us all.

Many thanks. This problem cropped up after an insane rains storm and flooded roads and so suspected some sensor issue but this clears it up wonderfully. I will be checking tomorrow.

I had this same issue on on 2005 X5. I took all 4 sensors off the wheels, cleaned them and the contacts. Put everything back together and everything cleared.

Just got these lights on my e90 320d will be checking this thanks great video

Hi bro, I have the same problem too, I clean the ring like you do and the abs light still come on, I think I’m going to install a new abs sensor, my old one has many scratches as you show in your video

Swollen abs sensor maybe fit washer and lift up 3mm

How did you know to look at the right rear wheel? I did not see that specified in the error codes you displayed.

Could the sensor ring be slightly lifted due to rust? My mechanic suggested I changed the half shaft….seems a bit excessive???!!!

How did you clean the ring ??

Will it work to reset the abs light when we remove the negative of the battery. Leave it for 10mins then reconnect.? Thanks

Nope I've just tried this, left the battery unplugged overnight

That's not fixed the problem just delayed a big repair bill as the corrosion is on the drive shaft which pushes the ring outwards. This will continue until the new sensor is worn down again. The shaft needs to be replaced or refitted with a new reluctor ring which involves removal of all corrosion first. You going to give him a discount when is comes back with the same fault?

You're right. Another video was posted a month later to exactly address that issue. kzread.info/dash/bejne/Y4SY0KiLfbDUdbQ.html. So the moral of the story is fix the root cause first, there was a reason the sensor failed the first time.

Hello Oliver, I would suggest confirming the fault before the purchase and include it in the sale price. it may be as simple as a sensor but it can be as costly as an ABS pump, it needs to be checked out to be sure.

That’s what I want to know because I’m about to change my rear abs sensors in a couple days myself and I also have those 3 lights on. If it doesn’t reset on its own I’ll just borrow a friends own

Maybe a good wash will be beginning of fixing the issues

Take it for a drive and use a diagnostics tool like INPA to monitor the wheel speed at each corner. The one fluctuating alot is the troublesome one

I bought a Creator C310 Plus on Amazon. Very cheap and simple to use. It has paid for itself many times over.

Hi... my 1 series.....petrol 2005 .... i'll get the wheels tracked up straight and just pull fuses and worry this time next year when MOT time again 🙂 . I've thrown £100's at this thing ........... the garage is great though ... but 200 miles later ???? . Battery ran down and then the fun started ........ i swear it's posessed ..lol

Everything in your diagnostic looks good except for what wear that sensor against the reluctor ring from the cv shaft that for me probably you have a bad hub bearing…

Hey, I have a weird issue with my e87 concerning these lights.They appear and disappear Randomly. On some days there is no light at all and on others all the time. Than it pops up when you drive 10 minutes. I tried to get it fixed but nobody has an answer. I have noticed that it does pop up more often while turning. Now comes the weirdest part: if you read out the codes there are no faults but the lights keep shining.What’s also important to mention I got no power loss the car steers shifts brakes ( and breaks) perfectly fine.the abs works even with the lights on. Only repercussion: if you set the blinker it doesn’t go off by itself anymore.

@@louis-hhr9479 don't scrap , my car does the same thing and it drives perfect and body looks good , a lot of problems with older bmw is corrosion with some sensor/wires it makes lights go on . Doesn't mean your car is broken

I have same lights on the dash but keeps blowing a fuse 5A The fuse blows as soon as I replace it

I sprayed some brake clean on the sensors and the warning went away.

Hi Gerard, i have a similar issue, my traction control light comes on, the abs light, as well as the cruise control light come on... this happends alot if the outside/external temprature is hot/high causing the car to switch off, i have changed the sensors, cleaned the rings but the issue still occurs. once the faults kick in, the car refuses to start....until i let it cool down for about 2 hours or so

Hey guys, wondering if you can offer some advise. I took my BMW 1 series to a garage as I had the DTC warning light. He did a diagnostic and then said he turned the light off. Went back a 2nd time and he said the Vanos Cams were the issue that came up so gave them a good clean and told me that should solve the issue. Still had issues so he said bring it in for a service. He serviced it and changed the spark plugs. Guess what still have the DTC warning light and the car is still pulling l. I'm now £400 down. He said he would do another diagnostic but I've lost confidence and don't know what to do for the best?

I have a 2004 Z4 3.0i and I have the yellow brake light and the stability control light, but no ABS light on. DO you have anything on that?

I had the same issue on my car. Lights would come on intermittently then go away. Went on like for about 6 months and now all three lights stay on all the time. Hoping to get a scan tool soon so I can see what the cause of mine is. Were you able to diagnose and fix yours

The same 3 yellow lights but a 5 min later also airbag error, window antitrap error and engine turned of and didnt start anymore. Looks like battery was weak but 1 hour later engine starts without any problem. Any ideas? Battery was replaced 12 minths ago.

I have the same issue from time to time and it can be dangerous if you are on the highway overtaking.One quick solution is to turn DSC off, but that does not fix the problem. I am pretty sure it is the sensor being warned out

I have a same issue too, when you start the ignition rpm a bit hi then, then if you press the gas late response but if you press more the gas pedal the car move fast. I need to do is turn the ignition off then start the engine and you will notice it is back to normal.

Shit I have the same problem the other day I was on the highway and and all of a sudden the eml light, traction control light, and red brake light came on and it went into light a limp or safe mode,, it scared the shit out of me,, so I pulled over turned the car off let sit for a minute then turned back on and it drove fine,, I ordered the 2 front abs speed sencers hopefully that fixes it,,

i did that it says open circuit on the pa software after i replaced the abs speed sensor any ideas what open circuit means

What causes this ? Tho ?

@@oi-kc8iw hi there, in my case there is a fault with a pressure sensor on the abs unit / dsc module or whatever name it’s got. I will be sending it for repairs.

Same issue I replaced all 4 sensors and fitted 2 new driveshafts cleared codes but they just come back im done sick of the piece of crap

But your engine light is unrelated to that, unless your car is shaking and you could feel it in your pedal, maybe missfiring, get scanned for codes first

i had same problem, i bought new dolphi ABS sensors, for front and back. it cost me 60 euros. not a big deal for two high quality sensors.

I have the same problem, if all three light are on is any chance to be a front wheel sensor or only rear sensors are the issue?

BMWs are rear wheel drive. So it is usually rear wheel.

I've got a problem with my 2010 E91. Usually happens in wet weather so I think its the traction control sensor but im really not sure. The wheels spin in the wet, then on the idrive I get ABS failure, DBC failure and Tyre Pressure Monitor failure. Turn the car off for a few minutes and reset the tyre pressure all is good. Really annoying that I can't get the fault codes when I'm home because the car acts normal again!! Anyone got this issue?
