This is the best and most realistic review I have seen.

Had mine (320d) for 4 years now and it kicks along nicely.

I hadn't realised these models were so much bigger than a standard 3er, Touring even! I guess that explains the weight. But the concept makes sense, and as someone who has a 2 Series Active Tourer i really do get it, though yeah, it ain't the prettiest of the line... I know it's a 3-Series but tbh i think it's more like a stretched 4 series.

Is it reliable?

I really can't wrap my head around bmws mpg figures. You have to remove at least 15mpg off their figures. I drove to Wales cornwall and cotswolds in 3 successive weeks,me my girlfriend and dog,in eco mode at 60mph on motorways,I was lucky to get 50mpg from the car. I regret selling my audi TT which could get the same mpg on long drives.
