Runaway Train is one of the greatest action films of the 80s and along with Phantom of the Paradise and Time Bandits one of the genuine hidden gems of the Arrow Video catalogue.

Some top titles in here Roy, Arrow really put their heart and soul into their releases, a great label. Love Donnie Darko, a must have in any collection, take care mate👍😃👍

Audition is more of glacialy paced psychological thriller than a horror film with the moderate horror elements pretty much confined to the last 20 minutes or so.

Death Smiles On A Murderer is an off-kilter neo-gothic horror film.

To anyone watching I second the JSA recommendation, a great film. Also Frankenhooker is much more fun than it had any right to be. Well worth a visit if you like 80s USA horror.

Great Arrow collection Roy mate 😀👍 Some utterly great titles; ‘Battle Royale’; ‘Psycho II’; ‘Robocop’; ‘The Thing’; ‘The Bird With The Crystal Plumage’; ‘The Cat O’ Nine Tails’; ‘Climax’; ‘An American Werewolf In London’; love all them films mate 😀👌 I went to go see ‘Thief’ yesterday at Tyneside Cinema and honestly bud; like you; I was also pretty disappointed with that one; I thought it starts off well within the first 20-25 mins; then I think I just lost interest in the story as the film went on; the last half an hour was really cool tho; love the soundtrack by Tangerine Dream 😎 Keep up the great work mate; I be sure to go back to the other instalments in this collection series; I’m working through my Blu-Ray collection series at the min; Part 5 is in the works 😊👍

@@roybarratt5609oh mate; it’s fine; cos I got so many instalments to come in my Blu-Ray collection series aswell; as you can tell I think films are just alright lol 😂🤣 Yeh coincidence ain’t it mate; it did look good at the cinema; Tyneside Cinema is class mate; they show a load of classic/cult films; do some great seasons wherever it’s devoted to a director and they showcase their filmography or they do a ‘Whodunnit’ season where they show a fair amount of Mystery films; can’t praise it enough 😀🙌 I’m seeing Michael Mann’s ‘The Keep’ on Tuesday as it’s currently Michael Mann month at the moment 😊

@samglendenning9884 that's great 👍 I've not seen or own The Keep but I seem to remember it has distinctive artwork. I don't get to the cinema as much as I should. Last time was at Christmas when my son and I saw Die Hard. He's 24 and it's great introducing him to some of my favourites. We're working through Tarantino together at the moment.

@@roybarratt5609 ‘The Keep’ as far as I’m aware doesn’t have a Blu-Ray release mate; the artwork is lush especially on the VHS tape 👌 I saw ‘Die Hard’ at the cinema part of Tyneside’s Christmas season; was great seeing that back in December. Can’t go wrong with some of Tarantino mate; ‘Pulp Fiction’ is one of the most lush looking 4Ks out there; my fav Tarantino film is ‘Django Unchained’ 😎👍

@samglendenning9884 I'm definitely wanting to upgrade some QT films to 4k. There's never enough cash for everything. My favourite would be Inglorious but he hasn't made a bad film in my opinion

Why do you refer to Arrow Video as Arrow? Arrow Video are a distinct sub-label of Arrow Films who were founded in 1992. You should know that as I can see plenty of Arrow Academy, another Arrow Films sub-label, releases in your collection.
