My girlfriend passed away very suddenly a couple of weeks ago and I was on my own in a bar drinking...and this song came on, which I hadn't heard before. Blur were my favourite band as a child but hadn't listened to them in a years. Hearing an old familiar voice singing a beautiful song like this was so special, like an old friend reaching out to you when you need it the most.

Damon had so much success as a young man that his confidence, naturally, bordered on arrogance...seeing him transform back into humility over time, despite continued success, is perhaps the most satisfying of all the blur narratives...i rate this song so highly, it's brilliant

Who can believe after all these years this is the best stuff they have ever put out....

When this song was first released on Spotify, I was shocked to see Damon was recording new Blur tracks when I had been to a Gorillaz concert just a few months prior. Even more surprised when Blur released the next song. Triple blown away when seeing Blur was touring. Does Damon ever rest? His soul is so full of Divine frequency; constantly creating. This track is excellent. Thanks, Blur! ❤

Life is short and I think once you get to 50 life around you reinforces what you put to the back of your mind your youth...rightfully so too. Damon probably wants to be as creative as he can in his chosen musical career as time allows.

One of the best songs I've heard in decades.

Nothing makes me happier than these guys getting back together and having a blast.

This isn't just a good song.....this is the best song I have heard in years and one of Blurs best!

My 3 yr old loves the chorus and sings along with me when i played this. My first love was Blur and 30 years later it seems he is following into his dads footsteps.

This song is class! Never been a huge blur fan. This song is genius 👏

I live in Argentina. I was stuck on traffic a couple of weeks ago. Scrolling apple music I found that Blur released a new record. I have listened to it many times, and has brought so much memories. Since then, I started to listen all Blur's records, every day. All that music was my companion through university and so much more. From the bottom of my heart, I love those guys. I'm so grateful for all the music they have managed to land in my heart and soul.

Sometimes you hear a song for the very 1st time and instantly love it. This is one of them. Others from my memory that stand out are 'Smells like teen spirt' Nirvana, 'across the universe' beatles, 'Afterglow' the Small Faces, 'are we here ' Orbital, 'how soon is now" Smiths to name a few..All different yet all hit the spot. Brilliant.

@@rkid727 Maybe, but I stand by it. Oasis are one of the most overrated bands in recent memory in my opinion. Some of the most bland and generic songwriting in contemporary rock music, anchored by absolutely irritating vocals. The ongoing feud between the two brothers, was the only remotely interesting thing about them, and even that got tiresome after while, with them coming across like incredibly petulant children.

I have tears in my eyes to see Damon on the stage singing this song. It felt in that moment I've loved him since before I was born.

This is so well mixed, wow. Amazing sound and performance all round!

I thought this was catchy from the first listen but the more I hear it, the more moving the lyrics become too... Blur have still got it!

This track is so personal to Damon. It kinda makes you feel like you're intruding on his private life. But, it's the best track this year so far, so you just have to listen, and again, and again ❤❤

so good to see a proper band......playing proper music.........just lovely...musicians....and song writers........making music.......with heart....and soul........just lovely...

Goosebumps every time. A perfect meditation on performance, devoid of the usual self-pity such songs usually contain. No, 'oh, woe is me," simply "here's what I've done, and here's what I've learned," without condescension or regret. It's as good a song as Blur's ever written, and it's certainly the best rock song I've heard so far in 2023. This record makes me happy.

I must have watched this 93 times so far. Superb. Blur are up there with the best ever.

Magic. A brilliant band that evolves, takes risks, loves performing together after all these year. They are beautiful. I adore them.

When I'm in "the mood" this is one of my favourite songs ever by Blur and from any band in the last 20 years. Blur but middle-aged (in a very good way)

It is nice to see Blur return to top form - they can certainly can write and make a brilliant song - I was lucky to get a golden ticket for their Saturday night Wembley show - it was absolutely gorgeous - the energy in that stadium was a joy to behold.

Still sounding great as always.

There’s way too much drum machine(for me) in the album. What happened to the good old acoustic drum kit in albums?! It’s gives more of a raw edge to it. Shame.
