Bluetti AC240 Portable Power Station (watch before you buy!)

Ғылым және технология

The Bluetti AC240 is the latest electric generator from Bluetti, allowing 2.4KVa of power to run most household items with ease. I put it through real world testing to show it working with everything from a fridge, freezer, toaster, microwave and even a drop saw! Whether you're a tradie, a prepper or just want a reliable power source in the event of a natural disaster that leaves you in a blackout, this unit is worth looking at.
It allows you to use it at campsites that prohibit petrol generators as there is no noise and no fumes.
I didn't have the solar array to test it with as they were out of stock of the 350w units at the time of doing this review, but the solar would allow you to run this unit as a complete off-grid system with enough power to run your items through the night and charge up the battery the next day. I couldn't fault it, it works exactly as advertised and is even IP65 weatherproof.

Glad you liked it mate, I just wanted to show the unit running common items that we would want to run in a blackout, or at a camp site or even on a job site. Just practical stuff 👍

All electrical motors will spike on start up. regardless of power source. higher resistance as you overcome inertia. But still this looks like a nice piece of kit!

When you look at a petrol Honda 2.2kva it is $2349, so this Bluetti at 2.4kva for $2699 is pretty comparable, especially when you don’t have to buy fuel for it like you would with the Honda

On both this review and the previous 120w unit, when the fridge/freezer is plugged in the wattage only reflects the running current. I presume they both also handle the start-up wattage that the compressors require when they each kick in?

If the drop saw is under load the run time will be much less. This applies to any 240v power tool.

You are operating those appliances on 240 volt aren't you Ozzie? Here in Canada or all over North America, we use ( commonly ) 110/120 volts, how does this ( if any ) change the run time of this AC240 Bluetti?

I’m just guessing it would double it but search for Bluetti USA or Canada and the technical specs should hopefully list it Reg…

your voltage is half, but your current to operate devices/appliances is double. for accurate calculation of run time etc, use watts. the same appliance in 240V running on 110V uses the close to the same amount of power, ie watts.

Charging in your car's 12v cigarette socket is not that good. It's more of a trickle charge and will take about 7-8 min hours to charge that way. The Ecoflow system have just brought out a new adaptor for this on their Delta line. I hope Bluetti also does this too. Also you can change this up via EV car stations too via the 12v-30amp with an adaptor. Yes they took away the 2 top chargers. But it had nothing to do with the IP65 rating has they did the same with the AC200L also. I can't see the point of the IP65 rating for this. Who is going to leave this out in the rain? It's not IP65 rated with anything plugged into it. So what's the point? I would rather have the cost down than have it spent on this.
