You are a great reminder that teles were meant to acomodate this type of music! For years I played flattops and hollow electrics. Now I find myself finger picking solid body electrics for a pure and clear and subtle tone that requires nothing but reverb. Thanks!

Thanks for listening. The Tele is a lovely and versatile instrument! This one in particular is very comfortable to play and so I find myself gravitating towards it often. Cheers!

Nice job I heard Lenny play this live Dozens of times years ago. Was talking with Prakash John a few weeks ago and of course he too saw Lenny many times. Sad but terrific memories. Lenny was a gift. Every famous guitarist I have spoken too always has great respect for Lenny. Luckily jazz fm in Toronto keeps Lenny on rotation probably because of Canadian guidelines but still here him lots. Years ago Jerry Donahue asked me to get him a copy of his Live at Shelleys cd. Jerry played the Claw like Lenny Old now but still love guitar Thanks ❤️

Thanks for sharing that story. There’s a great tradition of wonderful ‘chordal’ guitarists here in Canada including Lenny Breau, Ed Bickert, Lorne Lofsky, Reg Schwager, … list goes on. No shortage of great inspiration. Cheers!

Good morning. He plays jazz with a Telecaster. I have a 2.1mm 12th fret action. Is it correct that I have too little? Thank you

Hello, I will have to measure what this Tele is currently reading at the 12th fret. I do not know from memory. Here in Canada we go by 64th's of an inch on most guitars when determining 12th fret action height. For Classical guitars, maybe people prefer measurements in mm. What is 'correct' is hard to determine. The measurement at the 12th fret is only one of the components of an ideal or correct set up. You would also have to consider neck relief, height of nut slot, height of saddle(s), string gauge and also your playing style. Thanks for listening!
