"Don't Come Running To Me" Lyrics:
I see the smile
But I hear the lies
I see the look you just can’t hide
You think that I can’t see right through you
What a waste of precious time
You got yours and I got mine
So then you’ll get what’s coming to you
Chorus
Don’t Come Running to Me
When He Breaks Your Heart
Don’t Come Running to Me
When He Tears it Apart
Don’t Come Running To Me
I see you on the street
So cool and so discreet
Never mind the things you left unsaid
But it’s too late to even talk
Tonight I’m gonna turn and walk
You’ve hurt me for the very last time
For the last time!
Chorus
Don’t Come Running to Me
When He Breaks Your Heart
Don’t Come Running to Me
When He Tears it Apart

I don't care if this song isn't as good as others of theirs or if Bloom's voice is high-pitched here or even about the cartoonish silly video...I'm so happy and amazed that they are still with us finally bringing all these otherworldly songs back to life...okay, different times, different ethics and I'm not complaining...they still rock hard ! As for the song itself to my ears is half Buck Dharma solo (Flat Out) half "Revolution By Night" (Take Me Away) and brings back nice memories (82/83 )... Not bad at all ! B. Ö. C. For Ever !!

I tend to think that the criticisms people are making of the video quality of the "Ghost Stories" songs are missing the point. Look, these videos aren't intended to be top of the line music videos for a 2024 new release. Most of these songs have been stored away in BOC's unreleased catalogue, many of them for 40 years. The videos themselves reflect that same quality: They look, in some instances, like a 1980s music video. Viewed in that light, the videos are actually excellent. Also: The videos simply give BOC fans a little window dressing and add another song element. They honor BOC's history and the names and faces that contributed to this incredible rock ensemble.

Yes! Another one released before the album comes out. And, even though it is a bit AORish, it still has that cherished BOC sound! I wish they would just release a new song, every month, forever, until the end of time. I really do. It is just my angled dream, I guess. The Oysterboys! The best band, ever, hands down...and still going strong, and sounding better than ever! Buck Dharma is the Jesus Christ of guitar! I bet he plays it better anyway. LOL

Yeah, I'd be absolutely ecstatic if Blue Oyster Cult were doing what Hawkwind have been doing for the last ten years: releasing a solid new album every year, where 1-2 songs from each album are GREAT.

I love BOC, and Eric has one of the best voices in Rock, BUT he sounds like he’s 12 years old here. LOL Not thrilled with the high pitch, and the guitar solo breakout is tonally off, but these are oldies out of the vault and i imagine needed a good deal of editing. I’d really love to hear a really NEW album with new material like The Symbol Remains, as that was super killer.
