Not allowed to use Teflon tape on gas lines in my state. Only pipe dope rated for gas lines is allowed. Teflon tape for water lines, And pipe dope for gas lines

Can i use blue monster thread tape to sealant fittings size 4” up? Does it guarantee no leak for large fittings?
