Hi Ariel, it started raining the day after the video and hasn’t stopped since 😬 but apparently we are due a heat wave (thank goodness) sorry to hear it’s been gloomy where you are. HMV have now branched out into Canada, Japan and Belgium so it’s going from strength to strength 👍 maybe one day they will set up in America. Take care Ariel 👍😃👍

Awesome video Alan 😀🍿🎸🎶 I heard amazing things about ‘The Holdovers’; I will be watching it at Xmas period 😊👍 ‘Dreams’ is my favourite Kurosawa film followed by ‘Ran’; both incredible films 🙌 I never seen ‘Aliens’; definitely need to get onto the 4K in due course; great to see that & ‘True Lies’ finally get the 4K treatment 🤩

Nice to see Evolution finally getting a UK Blu-ray ( although I do have the German Steelbook so happy with that ). Aliens I did pick up ( but questioning whether I will prefer just the film on Blu-ray - does it work with a crisp picture ? - I will find out ! Also I did get ( yet to arrive ) Vertical Limit from 88 films. 👍 Always nice to see a little In another Forbidden Planet. 👍.

Great video Alan, so much out today. Nice to see that Starwars section in forbidden planet. I picked up Night swim and totally for about Evolution. I did pick up Aliens from Amazon but the slip cover arrived ripped so will have to send it back. Great video and nice weather too on the south coast.😃👍

i saw all those lovely indicator films and cried at all those region b notices. over the weekend i did find some indicator titles that were region free and they are on their way to me... hope you enjoy your pickups (loved the Holdovers) and have a great week!

Hi Alan. A gorgeous sunny day. Lots of great releases, particularly those Ealing ones and I’d be interested to see The Beast in the Cellar. I have the Bogart ones in indicator’s Columbia Noir 5 set. Loved The Holdovers. Weirdly I’ve never felt inclined to watch Evolution but there is (or was) a copy in my local thrift store so maybe I’ll pick it up

Hi Neil, it was a beautiful day in the south coast 👌 hopefully the start of things to come. I have the Columbia Noir set #3 but I prefer separate cases, so I ordered those Bogart films from Indicator for £9:99 each 😃 The Holdovers was incredibly good 👍 give it a go if you like Lake Placid, it’s that kinda humour. Take care mate👍😃👍

Lots of interesting titles out this week, I picked up The Holdovers, Shock Waves, The Three Musketeers Milady (the first movie was great, amazing action scenes and a fantastic cast so looking forward to watching the sequel) and Eureka’s Masters of Cinema, The Cat and the Canary (HMV don’t seem to stock Eureka titles). Those Ealing comedy 4K’s look nice, but I already have them on Blu Ray.

Hi Sir Alan, 88 Films putting out some great releases, say what you want to say about the quality of films but they are value for money in my opinion & not overpriced unlike some of the other labels, "Gator" one of the wanted list, not a great cover for the "Aliens" 4K release but nevertheless a essential purchase & long awaited. Plenty of Humphrey Bogart movies on releases, thanks for sharing Alan, great stuff as always.

I remember Evolution being quite a fun film.

Seems amazing it's a whole year since we all met in Brigton for Jamie Powell's birthday... what a collection of KZreadrs and other great people were there that day! There look like a lot of interesting movies there; I picked up *Inspector Wears Skirts 3* and *Inspector Wears Skirts 4* partly because they look fun , partly because elsewhere in the world there really hard to find and a lot because I like _Cythia Rothrock_ movie and, even though she was only in the first, obviously once I had that one I had to get them all 🤣. Oddly, sort of, 1,2 and 4 have an English dub but 3 doesn't... I think it's because 3 has never been released on physical before (certainly not in English speaking countries) so there was never a need for it and 88 Films couldn't afford to pay for a new one from scratch. *Shock Waves* definitely looks like one for that 'silly' part of my collection, with *Surf Nazis Must Die* etc. Only a 12 so not too heavy on the zombie threat I guess. I adore *Kind Hearts & Coronets* but will probably stick with my 70th Anniversay Blu-ray by the same distributor. I haven't got *The Lavendar Hill Mob* though so that's reminded me I want it... though the _Vintage Classics_ Blu-ray is a quarter of the price which is a ridiculous gap! I never picked up the *D'Artagnan* release so I'm intending to get the double pack at a fair price; I dare say you'd want them in separate cases 😉If I didn't have the German steelbook of *Evolution* I'd definitely be getting the 88 Films release. Plenty of _Bogart_ for me to grab as time passes. Great video as alwas, Alan... I wonder what your other 5 are... 😀👍

Hi Justin, there’s another big meet up happening in London in August, hope you can come to that mate, wow that year went by quickly 😮 yes, given the description of Shock Waves, it’s definitely a contender for your “silly section” and why not, life’s too short to worry about missing out on titles. Ooh yeah the price tag on The Lavender Hill Mob took me by surprise a little 🤑 I do have the first of the Three Musketeers films so I’ll have to pick up that sequel at some point 🤔….if you want to know what five titles I ordered in, check out the comments I’ve replied too as I have mentioned them in there 🫣 cheers mate, take care👍😃👍

Hi Larry, I have those five Bogart films to show next week, your right there is a shoo at the end of Sydney Street and Trafalgar Street but last time I was in there the blu-Ray section was very limited and he concentrated more on rare DVD’s but it’s been a while since I went in, London Road market has a great stall with a vast selection of boutique blu-rays available though. I have all the vintage classics on blu ray and a couple of the 4k collectors editions. I’m debating whether I should buy The Lavender Hill Mob 4k as I already have it on blu ray 🤔

Another terrific video Alan, I loved The Holdovers, the scene with Mary st the Christmas party just tears my soul, especially with loss around the holidays ( I myself just lost it during this scene) a terrific film. I would have picked up all those Bogart films on indicator ( I have them on dvd) but 12 bucks is a terrific price. Be well my friend and stay well
