I actually wonder if the baby is his safeguard for that knife in the animated world. "Okay son, go see mommy. Daddy needs to talk about things with Uncle Marky, to make sure he's not being serious. That way you can have all the little things you need." The baby just like- grips the knife handle tighter because he wants to do it himself, till he finds out his teeny arms aren't strong enough yet.

1:33 I'll be honest Lixian, you got me. For a good 10 seconds I thought my headphones decided to break on me. What's worse is that they are noise cancelling, so it really felt like I was deaf in that ear.

This game's gotten a bad rep for being so mechanically different from the first, but I honestly love it. It's still fair but challenging, and stylistically it's super charming. Thanks for giving this game a fair shake!!

It’s not just the fact that it’s mechanically different from the first game, it’s also because Ed didn’t touch this game at all and as such, it seems like the rest of Team Meat just couldn’t get Meatboy right. Basically, it just doesn’t really feel like a Meatboy game and it feels more like a fan game that belongs on mobile. The whole point of Meatboy is the movement, momentum, and slipperiness but since you can only go in one direction unless you bounce off of a wall, isn’t present. The levels are also way too spacious so the only times you can bounce off walls is when the game wants you to. The core essence is gone without Ed’s involvement.

I love how lixian put his baby down before going for the kill. Edit Holy likes batman!!!!!!

OMG I had to fumble around to pause the video and write this. Mark, at the same time you were recognizing the SMRPG intro, I was too. We were saying the same lines. That was literally my favorite game Of All Time when I was younger, and I still go back and replay it every few years or so because it’s just so good. I’ll be over at Tadpole Pond now working on my ending…

When Mark said he went deaf in his left ear and he made it so we can only hear him our right headphone/earbuds or whatever you use, made me panic cos I thought my left headphone stopped working.

That deafness is the left ear thing got me good

I like how during the jump cuts you can watch Mark's smile and pep just wither and die.

I kinda have to say, that I'm a little jealous of Lixian. He gets to see all this raw, unedited footage of Mark just being Mark while getting paid to give us more palpable moments that are easier to withstand and laugh at.

Seeing Mark immediately realize the intro was a recreation of Mario RPG's was really heart-warming for me, idk why exactly. Guess I didn't think Mark had ever played it before. It's definitely one of my favorite games out there.

Duuuude… I watched that video so many years ago like I completely forgot about it until mark posted this video. I loved watching mark play that game and it’s good to see an actually play through of a super meat boy game.
