Bloodwar: A Doom Engine Sci-Fi FPS

This is a Doom engine FPS game called Bloodwar, which was made by Audom Moy, who is known for the Angry Anna Doom WAD series. This game uses GZDoom, as a copy of the source port is included with the game. The premise of this FPS game is that a retired scientist who is abducted by aliens, and must escape their spaceship. The weapons you find and use don't use ammo, but instead use your own blood, which takes away health. The good news is that the aliens drop hearts and medikits after death, which gives you health. The concept of this game is really cool, and even though this game has some issues, it's still fun to play.

Hello, here's Audom MOY in person with this GameDev channel, I'm going to answer to those feedback and to almost everyone who comments this video, and per point To Aquarius: -It's true, I haven't had time to fix some issues in the MAP03, i was like (damn, let's let this issue like that before the gamejam ends for the moment until I'll fix) and I haven't realized that I forgot the pitfall -Due of lack of time, I didn't took time to make the player sprites but eventually, with some time and big update this game will have, this will happen. -I never used to make help screen and I forgot that part for tell to the player about the weapons that drains your HP, this should be featured in the future -The texture for make the screen smaller wasn't intentional but was included in the Nash's Standalone game template. -MAP03 boss time: I didn't thought any more idea for make sure the player won't leave the boss area, I'll figure it soon which way i can make -The giant brain is a reference to Metroid's Mother brain, the leader of the space pirates. So who never thought that any big brain can be a vilain? Like that Ninja Turtles Krang (hit me if I'm wrong about this one) -Still at MAP03, I'll think soon for fix the glitches in the same time for rebuild the structures. (Yeah, I didn't realized for the window), also I'll make sure that after the count at 0, there will be effects of the explosion of the base. To people: -I'm glad that I choose well artists into synthwave, I always thought that the most from Karl Casey fits well with my levels. -Yeah, sprites and graphics looks like MSPAINT but I haven't used that software, also I had some inspirations from Duke Nukem 3D and Viscerafest. And to be frank, I played a bit Chex Quest but never finished it. -Weapons I've made, i took reference to the medical devices for make them, my favorite one is the Pain Repeater. It pumps your blood for shoot fast laser, people would see that's a plasma rifle that will cost literally your life. -Freedom is the most known to be freeware, it's where I needed some resources about sounds. Maybe, I will change them. Thanks for make this video and giving the feedback in the end Aquarius! Glad to see someone who made a video about Bloodwar! I'll see for get enough time for improve Bloodwar and update it! :)

You're welcome, and I'm glad you read about the problems I found in the video.
The sound effects of Freedom Doom and the beating heart animations are almost like that of the game Blood.
my favorite thing about it is the music... it slaps! since i score things on a regular basis, i naturally pay more attention to it 😂 i made music for a wad a few years ago, (if you want to check it out) - bloodline !
I love on how all sounds are from Freedoom.

The visuals and spritework reminds me of Chex Quest, but what a banger of a soundtrack! Thanks for showcasing this, I'm going to have to check it out.

Nice mod. Though you are right, Aquarius. There are some bugs. Still, it's better than a goddamn Terry wad or any of his other crappy bullshit.

The link to the game is fine, but you know if they released the catchy-unto-imprisonment soundtrack on a digital EP? I ask because it is pretty good--perhaps better than the game itself--but few people outside of the community know how to extract WAD/PK3 assets, let alone confirm their compatibility with a media player.
