In Greek mythology, Hades was not depicted as evil like in modern shows and movies. He was actually portrayed as a chill and cool god. It was his little brother Poseidon and Zeus who were considered hot-headed and more evil.

Hades was almost always portrayed as humorless, and wasn't exactly gentlemanly in his abduction of Persephone. It took someone uniquely gifted, like Orpheus, to move the perpetually dour King of the Underworld.

People's concept of Hades is most likely warped by their pop culture understanding of Christianity, they would hear "Ruler of the Underworld" and probably think of Satan. It also doesn't help that the most widespread version of one of the few myths we have of him is the one where he kidnaps his wife.

Sorry my bad it's a Sony product. I'm confused why people are saying that's Kratos when in both the end of Season 1 and in the trailer it's shown to be Hades. Yes they have similar designs and based on what is shown they both have gripes with Olympus but until season 2 comes out I don't know what else they have in common. Please don't make Hades and Persephone evil. They're actually fairly good Gods and Hades is specifically sympathetic and fair to mortals. Seeing the most just of the three brothers always being portrayed as the evil one is such a let down.

As am I, I really love Persephone’s design, she looks so beautiful and regal in this trailer, befitting both a Queen of the Underworld and a Greek Goddess who could Aphrodite a run for her money in the looks department, both of which is accurate to actual Greek Mythology.

LETS GOOOOOOO!!! Netflix animated stuff has been awesome recently with the release of Pluto, Blue Eye Samurai, Arcane and several others and I'm so glad Blood of Zeus gets to be a part of this years roster!

Well, Netflix made Blood of Zeus, Arcane, Blue Eye Samurai ( cartoons) they only have the license for Pluto (anime) no one in Netflix helped make it, but I love all of them.

@@otakurachel I see. Yeah I was aware Pluto was a production made by a Japanese anime studio based on the manga. I assumed since it streams exclusively on Netflix that they helped finance the show. As for the distinction between anime and western animation, there is a difference yes, however I specifically used the term "animated stuff" as to be able to reference both mediums as they are both animation at the end of the day anyway. And I'm not sure why but calling shows as mature and expansive as Blue Eye Samurai a cartoon feels weird to me.

Can't say I love Hades being but in yet another antagonistic role, guy is literally the god of minding his own business and doing his job. We couldn't get Posideon into this role? Or Hera coming back for it? Both attempted a literal que on Olympus to get the throne at one point.
