Hey there, folks, welcome to Episode 7 of the Teal Mask LP! We're FINALLY hanging out with Perrin after teasing it at the end of Episode 1, and tracking down the "Bloodmoon Beast"! So, there's one more episode of this Let's Play left to go, where I'll do the last couple of things I want to do in Kitakami before I call this a series. The raw file was a bit longer than I was thinking it would be (for reasons that will probably become very apparent when you actually see the finished product, haha), so I'm gonna try and get it up sometime on Monday, but, if all else fails, it'll go up on Tuesday. Unrelated, but unsettling bear fact: friend of mine told me after describing how Bloodmoon differs from other Ursaluna that when regular bears move frequently on their hind legs, it's because they've lost significant weight due to starvation or malnutrition

Teal Mask Episode 7 Comments - I love all the callbacks to Legends: Arceus in this side quest. I wonder what other kinds of Pokemon can spawn there when it's foggy, or if those are the only ones that can appear and the only thing that can change is the order in which you photograph them? - What is it about artists and blue hair? Perrin talking about her slump reminded me a little of Yusuke Kitagawa's Confidant arc in Persona 5, and he is also a blue-haired artist. You really are a real-life anime character, Daniel. - Man, I wish Game Freak would invest in some voice acting already! Carmine and Kieran's scenes were empty enough without it, but now I really wish we could here what Perrin's voice sounds like. Who would you cast to play her? I can't make up my mind about that. - Take this advice from someone with a bachelor's degree in wildlife biology: Not all bears are created equal. The key to max out your odds of surviving a bear encounter (at least in North America) is to remember this rhyme: "If it's black, fight back; if it's brown, lie down." Black bears can be scared away if you make yourself look intimidating, but with brown bears, your only hope is to play dead and pray it leaves you alone. But whatever you do, no matter what kind of bear you face, DO NOT try to run away! You are a human being, therefore you will NOT be able to outrun it! - A good tagline for this episode might be "You've heard of Daniel in the lion's den, now get ready for Daniel in the bear's den!" - This will probably never happen, but if Pokemon ever did make a main series game geared more towards teenagers and adults, I'd like to see a dating mechanic where you can pick an NPC to romance, like in Dragon Age, Mass Effect, Fire Emblem, and Persona. Of course, then there would be the issues of how many to choose from, can you pick more than one and how will the others react to that, and do we include same-sex options (because people will complain about that either way). - QOTD: I think I would like to live in Unova. I've lived in New England my whole life, and New York has the same climate; living in a place without changing seasons would be too weird for me. Plus some of my all-time favorite Pokemon are from Unova, like Oshawott, Lillipup, Dwebble, Audino, Whimsicott, Lilligant, Sawsbuck, Minccino, Emolga, Chandelure, and Volcarona.

Honestly? The first person who came to mind for a VA for Perrin was Ashley Burch, but that's mainly because Perrin kinda makes me think of Chloe Price from Life Is Strange -- like, obviously, she has the blue hair, but the fact that her hair has the bit that's yellow-greenish like Adaman also really specifically makes me think of the possiblity of that one photo of Max and Chloe you can find in LiS2 if you'd sacrificed Arcadia Bay in LiS1. All of that, plus the camera that Max uses all throughout LiS1 originally belonged to Chloe's dad before he died.

@@SuperNerdDaniel That's funny, if I had to pick someone for Perrin on the spot, I would have said Hannah Telle, since she voices the photographer in that game. I just didn't know if there were more fitting or readily available options
