Brilliant observation. So incredibly sad.

I went from horrified to bawling real fast and I've never cried so hard so quickly after seeing a realistically drawn dead dog. I think anyone who has lost a dog knows this pain.

I had a psychotic break recently and this is exactly how it felt. Great job on accurately displaying a break in mental health!

It’s scary what the mind is capable of.

Some people lose it in the shock of the ending but I keep thinking about this video. It is a true masterpiece in how obligations and responsibility, despite coming from a place of love and a source of strength, can also breed resentment and anger. This could be in a literal caretaking situation like what is shown or a metaphorical one, like Meatcanyon being forced to crank out cartoons to a gleeful audience unaware and uncaring of how the feels about his relationship with KZread and creation in general. I haven’t found myself real red ring on a piece so often as this since I first watched lasagnacat’s pipe strip video which unironically changed my life. Thank you for your work Papameat!

My head's vibrating after watching this. Never have i feel mire disturbed by watching a video in my life. I have watched worst possible gore out there but this animation was just something else and the fact that Blue Clues was a significant part of my childhood makes this even more tragic for me. Good job meatcanyon.

Normally these animations make me laugh my ass off, but this was just beyond heartbreaking.

@@pikosapikos13 It's because of like what someone else said: Seeing humans die in fiction is pretty taboo and common now, we see people die all the time in movies, books, shows, video games etc. But it's not often when a beloved pet or animal dies and it just makes it all the more heart wrenching. In the Impractical Jokers vid, John's wife dying was more dark comedy than anything else, since there was no reason to kill her other than to keep the show going. In this one he didn't mean to kill his dog and immediately regretted it after figuring out that Bloo's Cloo's was all in his head. Sorry for the long reply

The switch is one of the most impactful moments that I've seen. Even knowing what's happening, it still gets me. Without the SFX at 3:36 I don't think that it would have been as effectiv.. What a short!

I guess i also thought he was tricking him into killing himself but i was still wholesome in its own way. Papa meat, this one… it made me go NOO and it takes so much for me to do that. It wasn’t predictable, the link i received was.

That ending was actual real horror. To be unable to see reality and cause so much pain without being able to know what you've done until its done. A Horrific Masterpiece.

You know I'm all for making comedies of things but please, for goodness sake, ruining a perfectly wholesome childhood TV show? I clicked on it because I was curious in case you were wondering, and I always hate when comedy turns this dark. I've noticed that most other kids who were growing up in the 90s and early 2000s seem to have had way more traumatic early childhoods that led them to make this kind of adult swim style parody of shows that were actually really good. What I'm thinking is that also seems that the kids that grew up on PBS kids most likely we're probably from strict Christian homes or something? I grew up on just PBS kids because my parents simply didn't leave in cable and that's it. I just feel bad for all these people that are projecting their own trauma into what they think is just gruesome comedy

@@otakumangastudios3617 meatcanyon has alot of comedic videos. But I think it's best to differentiate between what is supposed to be comedy and what is not. With this video, I truly believe it wasn't trying to take the road of twisted humor. Rather a road of seriousness. But I can understand where you're coming from. But I just don't think it was trying to take a road to comedy. Not everyone who makes content like this are projecting their childhood trauma into it. You can have a great childhood and still have a love and passion for things like this.

I think it’s more adult trauma and we use our childhood cartoons to understand what adults were going through at the time and it’s a bridge to help us to relate to the insanity that is adulthood. Life is beautiful but also a disaster at the same time and adults didn’t prepare us for the harsh reality. My childhood wasn’t the best but not exactly bad. These cartoons bring me back to better days and then give you a swift kick in the gut to what our parents were really going through at the time.

That one actually hit deep.

Self sabotage never hit this close.

The saddest part for me, is that he cared for Blue more than himself. At the end, he only has a chair and TV. There's a toy on the ground, a ball, a bone.... all for Blue. The leash is hung closest to the door, as well as an umbrella and boots to walk even in the rain. Blue was everything to him when his mind was clear.

What's even sadder is that Blue was being neglected. The fridge, the dog bowl, the tv ad, the bathroom, those were all clues that she was just asking for love, care, and attention. The talking objects were Steve's subconscious trying to warn him as well 💔.

Bloo Cloo is legitimately sad... I feel so bad for both of them.... He wasn't entirely in the right headspace and genuinely loved Bloo. And Bloo just kept pushing during a schizophrenic episode... It's genuinely sad....

I'm actually convinced this guy is a genius.

The worst part is that even Blue didn't look like she wanted to keep doing clues, she looked like she was suffering just as much as Steve.
