Trust me the British police are no saints them being nice is just a facade to make you lower your guard and say something that will incriminate yourself. Notice how this cop was attempting to get the van driver to say he was intentionally blocking the speed camera van which would be an offense. Also to add they have a very patronising tone when they get mad and speak to you like a naughty child, I'd honestly rather be shouted at rudely and threatened to be killed if I don't stop dicking around like the US cops do.

man who deliberately blocked a safety camera van in Bradford has received a conditional caution and faces losing his vehicle if he repeats his behaviour. Police were carrying out enforcement work in the Thornton area of Bradford last Friday (14 July) when the 67-year-old parked his vehicle and raised the bed of his tipper truck to obstruct the camera operator. He was interviewed under caution yesterday (Thursday, 20 July) and admitted wilfully obstructing a policing support officer acting in the execution of their duty. Paul Jeffrey, Head of the Prosecutions and Casualty Prevention Unit, said: "Dangerous and inappropriate speed continues to cause crashes that result in avoidable deaths and serious injury. We remain committed to promoting safe speeds across the road network. "On this occasion a driver chose to stop and attempt to obstruct the lawful enforcement of speed limits. It is a criminal offence to wilfully obstruct a safety camera operator in the execution of their duty and we will investigate all such incidents. "Our staff are working to keep road users safe, and drivers who choose to speed run the risk of being the cause of a tragedy or being prosecuted for speeding. I would encourage all drivers to drive carefully, within the limit and at a speed appropriate to the road conditions." The tipper truck driver was given a conditional caution with conditions prohibiting him from parking within 20 metres of any mobile speed enforcement vehicle or doing anything to willingly obstruct their view, and to remove all social media posts relating to him committing this or other offences. He was also issued with a Section 59 Notice under the Police Reform Act which means a repeat of this behaviour may result in the seizure of his vehicle.

@@mrmalavey1098 How is it the Police's fault that someone is doing stupid shit? I honestly never understood this thought process, "ohh they're always out to fuck ya!" Maybe don't break the law? If they're framing you or making shit up? Yeah sure, there's a ton of scumbags on this planet unfortunately, but how is it the police's fault that you're speeding, possibly putting lives of people that are living by the law in danger for your own interest? I just never fully understood how people connect "keeping the law in check" with "fucking hardworkers over", you having a 9-5 job like everyone else doesn't entitle you to drive like a wanker?

Lived in Germany for years and a lot of the time they set speed cameras up they would broadcast their whereabouts on local radio which gave way to little vigilant squads of locals going out with signs who would stand 150 mts in front of the camera warning you of the oncoming camera, cops didn't take kindly to this, but as one sign went down another would appear 130 mts in front of the camera, fucking brilliant. Keep it up...

Since all speed cameras have been required to be clearly seen and sign posted, the camera van has become the tool of choice for revenue chasing councils. Their hit and run approach, by parking up for a few hours then moving on, can only be interpreted as a way of catching people out. Hopefully my next lay-by break will be as well placed as this drivers.

You guessed right but then again explain to me how setting up a speed camera 50 meters before the speed limit jumps is anything other than easy money? I don't like people speeding in and around built up areas. Show me a speed camera there and they will have my full support, nears schools would be fine. B B what a stupid comment one of these vans hidden behind a bus or parked in a lay-by on a busy duel carriageway is going to stop an accident happen in fact because drivers hit their breaks and then spend the whole time looking at their speedos I’d say they were more likely to cause accidents!! Try making a foi request to your local police to see how many accidents have happened where a mobile speed camera is sat I have seen several!!

@@radstockben9355 fatal collisions happen everywhere, the A1 dual carriageway in Northern Ireland has seen more fatalities than any other road. As u said to the copper, if he really wanted to stop speeders then put signs out telling everyone they are around the next corner!!
man who deliberately blocked a safety camera van in Bradford has received a conditional caution and faces losing his vehicle if he repeats his behaviour.
