Its funny, spending all day in the cab of my truck just to come home to watch videos of someone in the cab of theirs. Orwell is gorgeous. I wish that I could use a cabover in my job. But it would not be practical doing cement spread jobs in a cabover. Having to open up product valves, running back up to the cab and jumping up all the steps to start driving forward. Accident waiting to happen. We had a truck that had automatic valves on the trailer with switches in the cab. They didn't work that well. But it would be sweet to have a short wheelbase CO daycab though. There are 2 that run rock haulers to the cement plant that I drool over. A freightshaker and a Mack. The Mack is a maroon and black hunny.

I had another cabover sighting on I-94 in Wisconsin. An honest-to-gawd Aerodyne heading west pulling a drop deck or flat bed. I just got a quick glimpse of it., so I'm iffy on the trailer but there's no mistaking an Aerodyne.

I watched a truck driver wag his trailer while trying to change lanes and I use that same technique when I'm pulling a trailer, works about 95% of the time but some drivers are clueless to what is going on around them.

In the northeast, you have to drive offensively instead of defensively. I'm curious, do the outriggers of that machine require some kind of securement? Theoretically they could "leak down"... I pulled a flatbed for 35 yrs...not much equipment hauling though...

Gettin It Done! 🤩 Sometimes it feels like you have to have a jet engine strapped o the trailer so you can flip the switch and fly into the next lane. 🧐 You do what you have to do. Yes, as a MA resident, I can affirm that Massholes are rude and often completely oblivious to any other vehicles or driver. But New Yorkers are not any better. However, I did not see a huge issue here. Traffic wasn’t even very heavy and a couple of cars would not let you move over? Patience, patience. That area is usually bumper to bumper at times so then you would have had a real problem. That Pete looks so sharp and it sounds so sweet. Thanks for posting and stay safe.

Hello Steve, About an hour ago while I was taking my wife to an medical appointment, I came across a Peterbilt near the Portland, Maine Jetport. The paint scheme looked a lot like Orwell's. I didn't a chance to get a pic or a quick video because we were headed in opposite directions. It wasn't Orwell because it was a single ex, not a twin-screw like yours, but it did remind me of Orwell. It was pulling a regular dry trailer, not a bed-bugger one. Just thought I'd let you. If I happen to come to across it again I'll try to get a pic or a quick vid. Stay safe and motor with care.

Orwell was one of many trucks owned by Keen Transportation as brand new trucks. I know of a few that are very similar.

I like your channel very much and would watch without music. But, I love your music picks which you insert at perfect times... not too much, not too little.

I wonder what those inconsiderate drivers do with the 30 seconds they gain by not allowing merging traffic to merge?

Back when I was on the road I had a sure fire way to handle inconsiderate drivers who wouldn’t let you merge to the other lane; turn your blinker on, count to 5 and start your move. It worked every time, even in NYC heavy traffic, and I never had an accident.

Hi Steve. When looking for an other truck, how about a Pete 372? You would have the Peterbilt Cabover trifecta, 352/362/372.

Good move getting wimpy Jack stowed so you can secure lift unit. That short strap area where you had 3x extra strap. Is why a strap damaged half way is not a terrible thing. Cut, burn ends. Nice shot strap when needed.

Steve, that tow be- hind a pickup tele- handler reminded me of the last job I had before retire- ment. The battery on the unit wasn't fully charged when the owner of the business picked it up

Back in the day , I used to deliver to a stroze beer distributor in Sherly Mass. , the rudest , most unfriendly people I have ever met in my life , you could not even speak to anyone in a convenience store , they'd think you wanted to fight , that bunch of people deserve to be that miserable .

My experience with Massachusetts drivers is that you cannot expect them to be courteous they are not normal drivers, just cut them off if you need to make a lane change

@@donalddodson7365 the only thing worse than Massachusetts drivers is our politicians, they’re the slimiest, crooked, lowest forms of humanity to ever exist. I was born and raised here and I cannot believe that the people in this state are stupid enough to keep voting them in. Unfortunately conservatives like myself are far out numbered we just hold our values and beliefs and hold out hope that the rest will some day wake up

I always go by the old adage, a semi is bigger than my ‘19 Santa Fe or even my 01’ Dodge Ram 1500. They can have all the space they want. Besides, I’m retired & y’all are still out there trying to make a living. Ahhhh road construction. ALDOT, the most ineffective organization out there & a model for bumbling & ineptitude; just got through w/a four year lack of effort adding a third lane to seven miles of I-20/59. Took em two to three miserable years just to build a bridge the main drag in town; & another two years previous to rebuild a one mile street I-359 in downtown Tuscaloosa, AL.

These dam people drive like they're on a schedule and you are in they're way any thing that holds them up slows them down is an inconvenience to them

The only thing I hate on the roads is the people that are in a hurry to get somewhere!! If your in that much of a hurry leave earlier

you would not believe how many times I have seen cars just not let trucks into traffic on I80 in NJ.

People really act like it's the end of the world if they allow a truck to get in front of them. It blows my mind when you put your blinker on, then they speed up only to end up changing lanes once they pass you.

I tow a lawn trailer 17 foot long full of gear and sit comfortably at 100 km/h (62 miles) I was overtaking by an idiot towing a very similar sized Cherry Picker. I was actually scared to see this thing go by so fast flexing and bouncing, the guy gave Zero Fs to the hire equipment.

Looks like you could have rolled that man lift back some more and overhung the step deck.

interstates should be open to trucks only. four wheelers can find another path. in 2 years of otr i have seen some real idiots.

i doubt that Connecticut tax law on truckers going to pass, itll be bad for their businesses cuz no one going to take loads to CT, and Ct is already struggling as it is. Harford, CT was bankrupt or almost bankrupt a few years ago.

People just totally clueless when they drive - almost ran off the road this weekend by an idiot passing on a 2-lane city street - coming at us head on WAY beyond 70 MPH on a city street.

I'm amazed the DOT hasn't tried to make you retrofit that old lap belt.. trust me, if it's Illinois, they'll back down. California? Different story..

Amazing how common sense is not so common anymore , a turn signal and common curtesy should mean move over for the truck!

P.S. , the younger man I was with was up in the tele hand- ler and had no con- trol from the bucket I had to move the boom and the young man around in the bucket with the portable hand held control. It was a 'hairy- scary ' sit- uation !!

Ct Ma dont matter people are driving like complete twatwaffles i deal with it everyday got to love the people that just camp out in the left lane and ive come to realize that not a soul on the road pay any attention to turn signals on trucks

American trucks looks old and with lack of technology compares to european trucks. That engine sound like an engine of 40 years ago. For example a scania runs like a luxury car.

3.5 tonne max, does not leave room for vehicle weight, e.g passengers, food, toys. There is a maximum GCM and that is easily exceeded so I suggest this is false advertising.

Honestly 85% of the driving world have no business being behind the wheel. Mass drivers are some of the worst in the country.

Europe trucker ist bether drivers. We are driving truck s not toys like you.... Lol
