An important aspect always is the p2p elimination of third party fees...
Some argue intrinsic value is the cost to mine one Bitcoin (electricity cost being a big part of that). This is why the halvening doubles the BTC price.

- bitcoin as transfer medium and store of value , ethereum as public governmental , entrepreneurial , and financial infrastructure for transparency,accessibility,fairness , and yes even for efficiency , also consider that civilisation is from its beginning on a path of neverending abstraction which is largely accelerated by digitalisation (regarding evaluation of scarce digital goods or real goods represented digitally)
