Yes! Let ALL THE FIBER go forth, be fruitful, and multiply! Fun video, as always. The more videos I watch with blending boards the more I want one.

No kidding! I wish that could really happen, you know in a controlled manner. I'm gonna be the classic enabler here and say doooooo itttt!
Love your inspiring videos! I'm new to spinning and have been following you for a couple of months now. Hope all is well with you and the little one. Looking forward to more videos from you.

thank you :) I'm glad you commented! We're good, still very much in the fourth trimester and kind of clumsy but totally in giddy love with the baby :)
I love your videos so much I wish I could buy a blending board.
Beautiful and unexpected colors! Hope you and baby are getting a lot of rest and peaceful time together. My daughter is seven months old. Time goes so quickly.

Seven months seems so far and so very nervously close! We're really enjoying the fourth trimester, it's been such a blessing to be able to stay home and rely on prefilmed videos and the books. You guys are such a huge support, I don't think many of you even know how much. ♡ As for how this spun up, it's coming in a future video :) Spoiler: really well! Giggle :)

No way I would have been able to put that combo of colors together and make them work. Awesome.

Thank you! I love it too! It's kind of weird to spin but it's really worth it for the bright colours and soft touch.
I love your videos, congratulations on the baby.

Grace, would you mind at some point, talking a little about your favorite places to get new fibers to try out? Maybe fiber clubs, or good places to get try-me sizes to play with?

+Zira No funny! One of my patreon perks (I'm launching the first week in February) is the comprehensive list of my favourite fiber resources. Plus I'm reviewing two months each the Paradise Fiber box, The spinning box, the phat fiber box and the fiberista box next year :)
Grace is that a hair brush you use on your blending board, I'm in the process of making a board and would be interested to know what brush you use

Joanne Wanless yes giggle, it's a faux boar bristle brush. hands down the best best best tool for the board or the drum!
Is that a homemade board? My husband made mine.😊
Hi Grace, I'm curious to know how those rolags spun up, especially with what appeared to be a large proportion of faux cashmere = nylon fibre. Do you have much time for spinning & playing with fibre with a young baby? I hope so :)

I have a video about how they spun up coming :) It's definitely a trick to spin so much nylon, but I figured out some strategies. As for baby and spinning, my secret is I prefilmed these until September. Haha! In real life I'm still trying to brush my teeth everyday. :p
What is faux cashmere? I'm a relative newbie to dying, carding, blending and spinning. I think my biggest issue to date is my choices of fiber to use without having to continue to learn the hard way what not to spend my money on.. Your batts and rolags always appear to be so soft. I want to spend my money on stuff that's next-to-the-skin worthy , blends beautifully and spins easily. I'd like to see that video with your tips and recommendations about what works.

faux Cashmere is 100% nylon and it's powerful soft, but kind of a drag to spin lol, it's got no tooth. As for recommendations, I totally feel you, I was in that stage for like 2 years. I definitely will make a video. However my recommendation will always pretty much be a infomercial about BFL. I absolutely love BFL. By the way, congratulations on entering our fiber community, it's an honour to have you :)
Nice Video. Thanks for this. Greetings from Germany. Katja:)

No animal fiber. All synthetics which is terrible for the environment. You think we have a micro plastic problem now? Haha... sincerely, an angora farmer(goat not rabbit)
Your Kettle Dyed Faux Cashmere link is broken/private, but thanks for the video.

+lanarin I do the same thing! I love art journal videos, soap making, card making, scrap booking and bookish unboxing videos. Giggle. I'm definitely doing more of those. I had been splitting them into different videos but I'm hearing you guys don't mind longer videos :)
