I was surprised how much i had to pop around to different tutorials before landing on this one. A real asset to the community- thank you!

Most of Blender Tutorial channels are utter g*rbage, made for monetization and selling addons. Once in a while, if you've lucky, you will find valuable content such as this.
This is how tutorials should be done. Short and to the point
Great tutorial. I agree with Amina P 100%. "So easy to follow."
Bruh I’m not sure why I’ve never seen this before, this is so fire
this was a great tutorial and so easy to follow thank you so much for this!
Great teacher - so appreciated!!! Thank you.
very helpful and easy to understand!
Very helpful my dude.
A particularly well groomed monkey! Thanks for the helpful tutorial!
Thank u i learned a lot
Cool thanks!
The particle edit symmetry is weird but you have to go to the top left under Particle and Mirror first so the hair is initially mirrored and then you can use the X symmetry.

if that particle mirror is not working then what I need to do?
Thanks.
hi, how this new material slot knows that it has to color only hair, not whole mesh like green slot?

thankyou
How do i make the rig follow the hair?
Hello please anyone can help me! My character's hairs not showing on object mode
is there a way to control the hair length with weight paint? ie: the more red the area is, the longer the follicles are?

Yes, there is an option under "Vertex Groups" to choose a vertex group for length. I believe this will only work if you have *not* "combed" or otherwise edited the hair in particle edit before the vertex group is selected.

@@zyzzxander Perfect. Just what I needed. Thank you for the fast response and great tutorial!
the second material i created always says its black no matter to what kind of colour i move it to, i could move it to completely white and the material will still say its black :/ yes i used the Hair BSDF and i applied that material to the hair

It sounds like you are either viewing it in a material preview viewport (instead of a cycles rendered viewport) or you might be rendering in Eevee. Switch your render engine to "Cycles," and see if you can see the colors in a rendered viewport. Hope this helps.

@@zyzzxander well it worked eventually but for some reason the issue was the Hair BSDF but when i made another material and didnt change it to Hair BSDF i just left it as it was and then it worked i dont know why the Hair BSDF is messing with my hair, i used hair particles to create my hair but anyways thanks
I'm having issues with hair particles. My children hair are far more spread out that the parent hair and often doesn't follow when modeling in tight places and looks horrendous even if settings are tweaked. Any advice?

This probably isn't the advice you want, but I'd recommend moving to the new, Geometry-nodes based hair system. It's much more powerful and easier after about 30 minutes of getting to know it.
