Good video . But you can select in edit mode wich vertices ( or polygons ) can stay displayed to use the weight paint ;)

I’d subscribe but I already did in the last video :( These tutorials are great and help quite a lot with some basics that may be a bit convoluted like the weight paint. That and setting up models for hand painting always confuse me

this didnt work, i colored it on at 0 and set my density to the vertex group.

this doesnt work for me i can paint everything red but i cant make it blue again.. anyone know why

You have to assign the mesh in edit mode with the weight that you want. For example, assign the mesh in edit with weight one and then turn the strength down when painting.
