I do not know where you are teaching but the world does need more teachers like you . You just made my day with this video cause i was over my head with how i will create what i really want at blender . Thumbs up !
I love how you teach wow. Straight and to the point. I'm going to play with this thanks.
I hope I had teachers like you in school, bro...amazing, Bob Ross from blender world I guess. I understood and did what I wanted to do really fast. Thank you man, you've saved a lot of my time❤🔥
Simple, Straight to the point, Easy for a beginner to Follow! I am learning a lot of useful stuff from you. Thank you!
Thankyou so much, that was really intuivitive. Quick note: if you are in blender 2.9, if you are trying to make polygonal closed curves: 1 Delete the bezier curve 2 Select the draw tool 3 Then click once on where you want to start drawing, 4 then hit E and then click where you want your line to end, 5 repeat steps 1 through 4 until you get to your last line In the top left corner you will find curves, and under that should be toggle cyclic, and it will complete the curve for you Also, you don't have to use the append tool when inseting a sketch or pictures to trace over, you can just drag it directly on to blender!

Your describtion and your way of delivering the idea is amaaaaaaizing!!! Thank you so much :)
I was trying to improve my skills in Blender, and it was hard for me to use the Bezier Curve tool when I first tried it. However, since I watched this video, it will help me get used to that tool and help me create some 2D shapes in 3D. Thank you for this tutorial. Very informative and helpful.
Thank you! Very simple, direct and helpful!
thank you. important basic in blender why everyone miss this powerful trick, i just know the 2D in editing bezier is working on top view.
thank you so much mate ! ive been looking for something like this for over a week.
Thank you for this, I learned a lot. Like your energy also!
Thank you! I knew about curves and converting them to mesh, but you showed me how to draw in Blender :) This will be great for where I am at and what I am trying to learn! (Self-taught and doing my best lol)
Just what I needed to know!
so clear and straight foward
Thank you, very well explained with all pitfalls (I've been stuck on) pointed out
what a subtle way of your explanation
short and right to the point!
Hi, this is PRECISELY what I was looking for, thank you!

Thank you so much for this tutorial. I appreciate and now i now how to work with curve!
You deserve million subs man! New subscriber here
Awesome video...great pacing and easy to follow.
thank you so much for making this tutorial
i've been very frustrated with Blender so far, in that they have a "monkey" function but not a line function! But your video has been the most helpful video online so far for tackling this problem
This is so cool, thanks for sharing!
nice, exactly what i was looking for
This is a very good tutorial Thank you University of KZread

Thanks Great Tutorial
Thanks a LOT!
U saved me ... Thanks a lot 👍👍👍👍
you are the hero
how would i do this if i wanted to make a cylinder along the edges of a cape. so i can use it for fur
can you re-do this for 2.9 or comment with how to? When i switch to poly after drawing my initial curve it just makes it like 100 tiny vertices
tanks you so much, for nice tutorial !

Did you say f**k my cube? 😂 Also thank you, I'm refreshing/re learning after being away from so long.
Thank you.
clear and nice
thank you
Thanks for this. It still makes me wonder why there is no easier workflow for this kind of work... I think a lot of people coming from vector software would much prefer to work with a pen tool to create a basic shape, then edit it as a 3d shape from there.
Two thumbs up.
Can be performed trim between 2 lines ?
Question, when I do this the last point I extruded isn’t selectable. So when I try to fill it doesn’t fill exactly
Thanks a lot dud! :)
THANKS
Hey, I'm completely new to blender and can't even find that transform window. Where is it? Thanks!
Thank youuuuuuuuu!
thanks, now to figure out if there is a lathe option like in max XD
E - move it, E - move it
I swear, this program would be about a hundred times easier if the terminology didn't sound like it was translated from Chinese by a twenty year-old copy of Babel Fish that was uploaded with a virus. A normal human would say "close loop" or "close path," or something like that, but Blender calls the function "toggle cyclic," as if they really don't ever want anyone figuring it out on their own.
searched "draw line blender" and can't even find a video that shows how to draw a simple line. That's blender for ya
Lyrics: E! Move it E! Move it E! Move it E! Move it E! Move it
Oh yeah~
OK, I'm stuck on the Convert to part. It no longer has what you selected, but when I click "Mesh" it doesn't work.

help, when i set to poly it doesnt straighten
Do you have an updated version for 2.83?
Newbie here, how do you get the vertical and horizontal arrow as show at 1:12?

My curve tools dissipeared left side window only shows transform edit and history how do i fix it?
How do I solidify the curve once i'm done bending it? I can't rotate the piece without it distorting.

Apple the modifier if using modifier or use menu object -> convert to mesh
👍
In the beginning shift-A? Becaus i use ver 2.8
I assume this is still the same steps with 2.9 ?
Hi. I cannot find the curve tool anywhere, I am using version 2.90.1 & apparently this tool is missing.
Does anyone know how to do this but with curved lines? :)
The singular form of vertices is vertex, not vertice
How hard it is for blender developers to add curve and line tools in the software?
@karlstenator

Yah, my thoughts exactly! At least this tutorial exists, and snap-to-grid is a godsend.
can you update this for 2021? I dont know how to adjust the curve handles
this was the missing link in my knowledge for blender. couldn't make sense how to convert a line to a mesh... took me 2 weeks to decide and search it on youtube ... sometimes im stoopid.
I wish if sombody explain like you but whit MAYA
GREAT tutorial, however, 2.8 Is coming, but it has use at least

It is there in a different menu option. I'll be remaking a few of these videos but until then when you are in the edit mode and you hunt for the option it is so ewhere there.

How could I make a regular polygon and/or regular polyhedron?
@gamemakergameprogrammingco4786
4 жыл бұрын
For that I would just creat a cylinder mesh bit set the number of sides to whatever you want in the options panel when creating.
thank uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu
Good demo. One small thing Bezier is pronounced "Bez-ee-ay" not "Bez-yer". He was French.
Sigh, I hear again and again, now blender is great. Try 2.8, it's a revolution. Now it actually works. The first thing I try is to make a spline and all it can do is a default object and extrude from that. You had one job.

Don't feel bad. Blender is by far the most randomly buggy pain in the ass I've ever used.
Could you make a tutorial with the new blender?
@jacksonisaac9686
3 жыл бұрын
First, create a bezier curve, then, while the curve is selected, right-click the line, there should be an option saying set spine type, hover over it, there should be a couple options to the side, from there, set the spline type to poly. Now, you have the same thing as in the tutorial. Just follow the tutorial from there and now you have a shape! Also, you might have to be in edit mode for this.
FYI Vertex: Singular Vertices: Plural There is no such thing as a single "vertice"
@gamemakergameprogrammingco4786

Cant argue. Bad habits die old.
I know you know it's vertex, singular. :) Except it's called a point in this case, because curve not mesh. Sorry for nitpicking.

Why do we use a curve for this? why not just a line or plane?
@gamemakergameprogrammingco4786

A curve is a curve, not a straight line. If you want to generate an object with curved shape this is one way, by starting with a curve that has various options to let you adjust/shape of the curve.
Sorry but you Van do the Same with Single vert‘s its even much easier 😅
I press poly it still the same . Just Blender. I prefer to pay $2,000 dollar but this things don’t happen
too difficult. why did they it easy like 3dsmax Maya even Photoshop.. I want to draw with a pencil.
