Great videos, dude! You're awesome! How did you do that at 6:23 min where you press I and then hold ctrl+shift to bring that back? When I do that (Blender 2.80) I always get those 2 extra edges and faces that you also got the few tries before.

Yannick Jolie with the new blender 2.8 they’ve done full overhaul with the ui and so on and its made to be easier to just grab and start learning. Older blender was pretty difficult to learn with.

Yannick Jolie make sure only the edge is selected you want to edge slide. But that step is pretty much pointles anyway. You can just scale it regularily. I do this because i van then use centimeters to move the edge back.

I had a similar issue and was able to resolve it by pressing Ctrl+A / scale.

That array method is not working for me! I checked every box, it not working !

8:09 this wistes stairs dosent work for me, hm....

None of the hotkeys you're using work with 2.8 unless you're using a different hotkey setup.

It's an older build and they changed around alot lately. But you can find all the hotkeys in edit > preferences

thanks man this was really helpful. i figured out a couple things that that may be useful: at kzread.info/dash/bejne/h46WuKVymdDaeco.html when you inset the circle if the middle is left bigger the stairs wont crunch up very much in the end. and when looking for the angle here kzread.info/dash/bejne/h46WuKVymdDaeco.html instead of doing it by eye, you can just divide 360 by the number of vertices in the circle that you started with and put that in the z rotation of the empty
