    I spent 8 hours trying to follow the drivel from the other creators on here.... thank you your video made sense I can know offer the best 3D printed wooden crates with rope handles in HO/OO on the planet.

    @@3DTudor well, consider me subscribed :) also, i had to manually select the edges when doing mine, how did you face select all of the ones in the seams at 3:36 ? I'm not aware of the shortcut or tool, i'm pretty new at this

    @@framerate3003 CTRL + Shift then left click or Click then CTRL+Click will grab all edges to that point. :)

    Great tutorial, one suggestion for people following this, I would do his specific measurements and size down after, I did my true size and then later when it came to the screw size I had to guess and when it came to the array they no longer fit together

    I did give a like on this video. But ya kind of lost me at the Mark Seams portion. I just couldn't really tell which edges were clicked on in relation to my model.

    You have to select the ledge from the vertices you merged earlier (roughly time 1:43), to mark seems between the three threads that make the rope. Also I think you have to hold Alt to not only select the edge but the the all the linked edges.

    This was a very good tutorial. Although relatively low poly (7k) is a bit high. Any tips on making a very low poly rope?

    Any lower and you will have to rely on Normal maps and tessellation. Although tessellation does come with its own performance issues. Hope this helps. Kind regards Neil, 3D Tudor.

    @@kullimoney365 I'd suggest making a cylinder without any details that follows the curve and then one like in this tutorial with details. Then look for a high poly to low poly normal map tutorial. You probably will also find many rope materials with normals on the internet

    Just tested it, seems to work just fine. Make sure you add the modifiers in the right order. Can't think of why it wouldn't work for you... Hope this helps though :)

    The only problem is my rope is struggling to be flipped to normals. I can't export it being perfect

    That's unfortunate. I haven't had that issue personally on my end...maybe you need to convert it to mesh and apply transformations first...?
