When was that? When Byakuya decided to try and best Ichigo during SS arc and went bankai? When Renji just got his untrained bankai and fought Byakuya? Or was it when Tosen and Komamura used their bankai immediately against Kenpachi? Your point is that they should use their bankai at the end of their fights, not considering that their opponents aren't people who you can use just your shikai against. The anime spoonfed you information and yet you got nothing out of it, actual subhuman.

Most of the Captains' powers rest in their Bankais. While some are very proficient with Kido, it's not enough to make up the deficit of having your Bankai stolen.

@@HS-ts5wf Aizen uses high level Kido’s a lot, especially Hado 90 which can easily take down a captain level opponent In Filler, Yamamoto and Unohana use high level Kidos so implied canon wise, they can and their Kido surpass Byakua

The quincy units are strong but their leaders are slightly strong while the reaper units are weak while their leader are strong.

When you fight Sternritter/Quincy.......NO BANKAI!!!!

Only Lloyd was decently powerful of the three kenpachi killed. Berenice used his ability poorly, fighting alongside Jerome was idiotic. Though of course they should have sent much more than Lloyd, Berenice, and Jerome to take out a war potential.

i like how they decided after only a couple of blows that bankai was absolutely necessary ig it makes sense though, end the fight as soon as possible to protect the rest of soul society

This kinda just goes to show how much they rely on there bankai and I hate how the sternrittes talk shit but they need to steal bankais to even have a chance agianst them

The major difference between liutenants and captains are their ability to achieve Bankai, so it make sense that Bankais are a substantial part of their power.
