God as a BB Vet from the CT days, glad to see Ragna still being Ragna after all these years. Ragna is the only reason i started playing Shoto characters and honestly played him all the way until CF when Izanami came out but once a Ragna main always a Ragna main.

@@ANIMEILLUMINATI Probably but that's probably the oldhead speaking as from what I've seen if there is any 2D game that not only still has a following but still gets in new blood is CF, probably because it got rollback if i recall. And lets keep it buck, when it comes to the modern Team Blue titles to play, CF is definitely more easier to digest than Cross Tag. For me personally i like the roster diversity that CF has (not really i just love izanami), but the CS era was definitely a mood when it came to being a Ragna main.

"Monarch would have blocked that" is going to rattle around my head every time I watch a Blazblue tournament from now on.

I'm glad he's still going for the yt grind.

I'm too smoothed brain for Blazblue myself, but it's so interesting how rollback changed this game so much for me being a spectator. I remember pre covid AnimEvo being Hakumen mirrors while no one played Nine, now I see Bullet players cooking. Glad this game is thriving

Game has clear tiers, but there’s also a very high ceiling so hard work can take you far.

Please do more BB content, even if it's just rewatching old matches or something. I love BB, always loved it but I got filtered being a European with no local FGC scene and no real interest in any other fighting game to at least learn fundies but I recently got fired up again and have been messing around in practice and challenge mode for fun even if I'm like a decade too late, lol.

I will always love me some blazblue. I dont know if you saw world serpent championship, jiyuna, but you might want to check that out. I have my own eye test for monarch, but he was playing like a madman at that event. Grand finals was insane. Always great to see bbcf content

It is not the community who is keeping Blazblue active, is the same Arcsys because that franchise helped to be in the sight and beign the otaku game fighting company that now is. Even Ragna is low tier in CF because his political uncle powercreeped him as the beginner friendly and competitive balanced rush character, it had still decent match up against top tiers in the game. A this began with a legal dispute between Sega and Arcsys due to GG2 Overture good reviews but low sales.

in a good mood Ragna is still mid-low tier, the issue is that Naoto exists.

That top tier Taokaka player coming in #2 in a tournament made me buy the game. Not kidding. I loved Tao but when I first saw her combos after coming from Continuum Shift she seemed like way too much effort for a 3k damage (which Mai can just use her C button and get 3k-3.5k for free). Still practicing and love my girl though :]

hey, at least SF6 is finally catching up to what blazblue has had since like 2015. I just wish granblue took some notes, currently it's in my library literally just to look at narmaya.

Ragna is B or low A tier I feel. You have to be really good to exploit Ragnas weaknesses but his damage is absurd and he has a sword which gives him long reach and sort of safe air game with Jump C. Ragna's DP also makes him hard to Oki. Jin is also in A tier with Ragna because his sword is used in even more attacks and he also has that annoying DP.

Fuck yeah Blazblue. Even when it is Monarch blocking 70% of the round, I'm always down to watch BB content.

Honest ask since you brought it up, how much better is leverless on your joints compared to stick? I'm not old but I just have shit joints so I kinda assumed leverless was the easiest on them after trying fighting games on pad didn't work out.

Very solid and basic Ragna gameplay, the proper way.

I've always wondered why you can't watch online tournaments. There are many strong players on the Network. After all, the Monarch dominates offline, and it's not always like that.. intriguing matches For example, the same WSC where almost all the top American players played, including Monarch. These were crazy matches.
