Blasting tar at 100km/h? Here’s how Jozi’s Pothole Patrol is trying to fix over 100 potholes a day
In partnership with the city of Johannesburg, insurance companies Dialdirect and Discovery have announced the launch of Pothole Patrol, a campaign to manage the repair of potholes throughout the city. The campaign kicked off on May 3 2021 and is trying to repair Jozi’s 48000 to 90000 potholes. Here’s what it takes to do that.

They should claim the costs from the taxes citizens are forced to pay for government "services".

Yeah, that's an interesting statement. How is this project funded? If it's not funded by the government, my fear is that they are going to take improper advantage of these businesses.
These repairs only last about a year and the point of this should be to improve safety until a long term repair can be scheduled, not use this as the only repair.
They must hire us
Thanks guys.... where our government though?

@@calidream9273 cold mix is intended for emergency fixes, for example in winter period, and it should last until next regular road reconstruction

Oh yeah how you gonna afford that? Rebuilding a road that will break again within a few years costs hundreds of thousands, would cost billions if you did it everywhere that had potholes..
These methods r cheap and don't work Only a bandaid and they do Not last for that long
