Wanted to comment after watching the sewing playlist and some crafts. My mother never taught me how to sew at home, because she never had time, and I'm so thankful for this list. I've finally taught myself most of the stitches at 16, and have started making plushies in my spare time. Thank you, so much.

O right
THANKU, I've not sewn for years, and want to get back in on beginner level (as that's always kinda where I was even when I made a simple skirt & top) but I'm just fine with that as long as I DO get DOING, thus I am starting with the 1st Stitch I ever learned back in 7th grade (& that was more than a minute ago I tell ya :) ) so THANKU THANKU, I will be referring back here more as I get going but for now I'll use this stitch to repair an item that's waiting too long for repair!

Every other tutorial is verbally giving steps but I figure things out by looking at it but I want to hear what they're saying too which distracts me from looking at the fabric. This helped thanks 😊

Hi I make embroidered patches by hand and wondered if this type of stitch would work on the patches edges. I use duck canvas and it tends to fray but I do use fray check but I still need a stitch
@treasurie
3 жыл бұрын
Yes this is a great stitch for patches. It will help with the fraying. The best thing to do is to turn under the edges.

What part did you get stuck at? Maybe I can give you a tip.

Treasurie thank you that would be great, just at the beginning when your threading it in do you go through the heart or the heart and square? Sorry if my comment came off rude at first I have a pillow due for home ec tomorrow and I just can’t seem to get this right and keep it neat no matter what.
@treasurie

@@jj-zn8hu If you are appliqueing something on your pillow then the stitch goes through both layers (heart and square) Good luck with your project. It only goes under the heart at 3:00 so you can hide the knot. The rest of the stitches goes through both layers
