I grew up with classical and opera music, with parents who also danced...to anything that would be played, which could include any type of music that was available. They had started dancing together to roller skating music, right here in South Dakota, then after we moved to Alaska, my mom learned a lot of "down home" stuff on her violin (which she mainly ever called her fiddle, even though she was trained in the classics originally...from the age of five). When I was in 7th and 8th grades, they were some of the founding members of our Valdez Sour Docees (do you know what an Alaskan sourdough is?), and my brother and I wanted to learn, so they taught our two classes. We performed for lots of events, including two years of The Gold Rush Days, just before the 1964 earthquake. So in addition to the swaying to the older styles of music, and learning things like waltzes and other ballroom dancing, we also learned to stomp and clap. Of course, I couldn't listen to this version of the song, without pointing you to the Home Free version: kzread.info/dash/bejne/q5NrwbSNn8q4cto.html I love them both, but if I had to choose, guess which direction I'd go! :-D Great job of reacting to this!!!

You might consider reacting to and rating the Home Free cover. Country Acapella group.

@Kathy Ross Yeah, I'm not sure why I didn't do a reaction to the video when I did this one. It wasn't on VEVO so I'm not sure what was up when I originally chose it.

I love Billy Dean! But you talk about kind of getting drawn into country. I didn't like country. My daughter "dragged" me to a Garth Brooks concert with her. Well since I've had Hillibilly Bones!!!

The reason Trace Atkins says he's always wanted to sing a bone song is because of Tracy Byrd's song Drinkin bone
