Blake Griffin: Biracial parents taught me to rise above haters
Ойын-сауық
NBA star Blake Griffin opens up about his appreciation for his mother, Gail and father, Tommy. He shares stories including why they decided to homeschool Blake and his brother, Taylor, and gets into their upbringing as a biracial family. Blake says he learned a lot from watching his parents brush off detractors, as no one could rattle the love they have for each other.

Blake is a very likeable guy in general but Graham highlighted his best parts
ask great questions, don't interrupt, and listen, Graham over SAS any day....
God bless Blake and his family ❤️
Growing up in the south being biracial is different af then being biracial in California or NY or Chicago. There’s other places that are welcoming, but the south will always have that racial overtones attached.

@@Kirbystare1992 there’s definitely anti blackness and cultural appropriation from other minorities in LA. San Diego and OC are anti black as well. The white people can be just as racist as the ones in the south. I have lived in both places. Cali people can just hide the racism better and make people believe they arent racist at all. And dont let me mention the cops.
Very true, you win by not feeding into the bigotry, character is the only thing you can rest your hat on.

Blake beat the crap out of one of his “friends” that he relentlessly bullied. Is this part of the “rising above” or “making them proud”? 😂🤣

That’s just how it is? NO🤬 That’s just how it should not be! This fight was already fought! Good wonderful people lost their lives! What gets me infuriated is we have to fight racism and equality all over again! This Country makes no sense to me and never has. The talk about the ‘Good Ole Days’ who were they good for? I have been married to a gorgeous black man for 13 years and I have witnessed things that I have never seen before! We were in Toronto for a Tradeshow I was attending for work, he came with me! We were out enjoying Toronto and went to a unique kind of bar had a few drinks then went to another bar and restaurant. They were so busy we opted to sit at the bar where we had a few more drinks and appetizers...the bartender was so busy we just left the money with a tip inside the check folder and I put it up on the cash register because we paid cash! A few minutes later a girl ran out of the restaurant screaming STOP 🛑 THAT BLACK MAN HE DIDN’T PAY...HE DIDN’T PAY!!! We stopped walking and turned around and just looked at her...so we told her it was on top of the register! We then kept walking and never turned back until we got to the hotel we were staying at!
