Guys Just so you know this was not LIVE it was pre-recorded & edited, so you'all didn't miss any broadcast..Thanks for being here...this will also be aired on Choirboyz Outdoors
Thanks for the discussion of the reviews of the WTG Kitsune S & T ... have handled the Nomad EDC, Nomad Bushcrafter, and PWB-9 ... all great knives, sharp edges, and the "top 3" handles in the business.

Nice video. Looking forward to more collaborations! Would love to get a Kitsune S but I’ve been buying a lot of knives over the last few months. Gotta dial it down a bit lol.

They are talking about doing so. I think they're holding a couple things pretty close to the vest but don't be surprised if you see something come out this year or next
On toothy edge vs polished edge. I've sharpened two identical knives. I took one to 600 grit the other one to 8000 grit on Naniwa stones and the toothy edge was a better slicer and the polished edge was much better at push cuts. Another thing I've tested with both was how long the edges would last before they needed to be sharpened. Winner High Polish edge lasted about 25% longer than the toothy edge. Those were my results for what it's worth. Fun Blade talk thanks guys

That's some amazing important info JR. thanks for that. gotta pass this on to Scab @choirboyzcutleryoutdoors
I certainly enjoyed the collab The Kitsune looks like a good EDC fixed blade for most places.... Not the UK though because the UK makes even New York City look free.

Really i always thought NEW YORK was the worst place on the planet for a blade lover...and glad you enjoyed the collab

@@JoeSteel1 Maybe New York and the UK are tied for being the worst place in the world for blade lovers.

A little off subject here, but great point you made on Matt's live stream about how difficult it is to compare vendors that have very different business models in many cases. I'm a HanBon Forge fan (they are working on numbers 14 and 15 for me now) and I think they offer a good bang for their buck considering their business model. Now somebody else like Ryan or Jakoo or may do this or that thing a little better or differently, but to me it's all a wash in the end when you consider how much you pay for what you get. And I based that on all the reviews I've seen of those other products that have similar business models to HBF. And as you pointed out it's kind of not fair to compare those with the HBF or SON business model to somebody like Evolution Blades. Because if you're going to do that you might as well come compare Evolution Blades to the authentic products out of Japan. And if you did that then all those ratings from the live stream would drop down one, if not two, full letter grades. But bottom line is I think HBF is a good choice for those that are budget-minded. And if it's okay I would like to invite katana people to come join the "katanas" forum on "Read it". (Actually it's the forum that sounds like that, but if I write the forum name correctly for some reason Y T kicks the whole comment.) Anyway, thanks again for popping into the live and pointing that out.
