Australian farmer here,I saw the original Bladerunner at th Driveinn movie in '82.I drove a 250km round trip ,4 times to see Bladerunner 2049.Glad I did that.Unforgettable.

I mean he's an android so data recovery is a thing. Especially if they can imprint other people's memories and experiences on another. No reason he couldnt be returned. Just gotta wait a couple decades and let everyone forget- wait a minute...

Mesmerizing movie, so much greatness in humanity. So much pain suffered by humans trying to achieve that greatness.

did you also not see how humans just dont care anymore?!!??! the machines wanted to be humans and humans wanted to be machines. most people as of today present time do not care to be with nature, they want to plug in their phone or computer and hope to be in this realistic movie of sorts...its fucked up, that is why i love this movie and why i love cyberpunk...its going to happen because the masses are fuckin lazy and dont care no conscious thoughts.

The movie was set in a future dystopian world which was a ecological, sociological and technological disaster. When Tyrell corporation was able to patent the human genome and produce replicants using high tech they re-created slavery, instead of making non human robots to help mankind. The movie was a warning about the deliberate corporate misuse of future technology and media for it's gain and the degradation of society because of it.

Blade runner is life. Life is blade runner. Nothing will ever come close to blade runner. Blade runner is your past , present and future.
