DNEG is the same VFX house who did Black Panther's atrocious VFX. Remember most of the time its the studios' fault giving these artists not enough time.
Best scifi movie of the past few years. I had goose bumps watching these breathtaking scenes while hearing hans zimmer magic.
Crazy how much work is hidden behind fog and darkness.
I hate hate hate going to the cinema, but I saw this film twice because it just has to be seen on a large scale, it's a masterpiece!
This is cgi done right
Incredible film. Wish I could watch it again in theatres
Surely, this movie has sound, cinematography, and vfx oscars in the bag...
I liked the film, but it wasnt as good as the original imo. It was its own film, and very different form the original, granted its not the same period in time. it got a ton of acclaim for its visuals but even their i think it could've been far better. I know CGI can be great, but here they lost alot of what made the original spark. Tonally this also didnt feel nor look like LA. it looked like Canada. Dennis homeland. it looked European. even much of the extra actors looked European. what happened to the Asian influence of the original? the greatest achievement in this was cg Rachel. she was bang on, though i also thing the body double cast could've been better. the actress was no where near as petit and slender as Sean Young in her 20's. still it was an amazing achievement. again l liked the film, but it was its own thing, not the truest blade runner sequel i wouldve longed for.
DNEG did VFX work in BRAHMASTRA.... OSCAR WORTHY 🙌

Some of the best visual effects I've ever seen, period. They'd still be next-level if this film came out in 2024, nevermind that this is now around 7 years old. Absolutely unreal.
This movie looked absolutely astounding... Hats off

Really impressive work. The body morphing is incredible, plus everything else. It must be tough when the lights go out.
My friends working in senior VFX artist department in dneg and worked on blade runner 2049 itself 😀❤️
my head hurt at the double-body scene. Great work!
I'm amazed how relatively low-poly all the background buildings are. Textures really are everything.
I'm obsessed with this creation of film
the sound rumbles through your guts, love it!
